Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Nothing as such. I just got to know the benefits of studying economics, which would help in many other competitive exams.  What I feel like is that our curriculum needs to be more practical, like how everything is happening and all require a little more shaping.  As eco-hons is itself a very tough course, we need more time, like when our semester ends in 5 months, of which 2 months are for exams and all.

Placement Experience

3

I don't have much idea about the placement of ramjas, as I personally don't want to sit for the placement. Companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, and DE Shaw are among the top recruiters. The highest package recorded was 22 lacs I guess not confirmed. After getting the degree, I will be focusing on government exams like CDS and all.

Fees and Financial Aid

According to what I know, our college, Ramjas, has a comparatively lower tuition fee than any other North Campus college, and as for the living, it's a little bit expensive because not everyone gets hostel facilities, which is why we have to opt for the option of PG. There are many scholarships that my friends have been enrolled in.

Campus Life

5

The annual festival of Ramjas College is MOSAIC, which is held around the end of April or the beginning of May. Before this annual fest, many more festivals of different societies are conducted.  As for the range and accessibility of the boxes and generals in the library, there are many different authors among the writers. As for the sports and extracurricular activities, there are different sports in my college where, basically, being on the sports team of the college, they provides many benefits, like giving us a regular diet that we get after our daily practice and many more. Yes, there are many social groups, or we can say societies, in our college, which makes us interact with different kinds of people and learn a lot of new skills.

Admission

I gave a cuet and it cost me around 2000 rupees as an application fee. As for doing B.A. Economics hons in du one must give maths in cuet or they should have maths as a subject in class 12th as maths is compulsory rest doesn't matter  Not any reservations benefit, but I got quota, i.e., a sports quota, as each college of Du provides the list of seats available in the respective sports played in their college.

Faculty

3.5

As for our department, there are many teachers of respective subjects, which makes it quite okay. As for colleges, it's not like school; we have to study on our own, unlike in school, where we are mostly dependent on our teachers to provide each and every study material. As for the third question, we can't call or message our teachers directly, but it can be done through the CRs of the class, which are elected by us in the initial days of the colleges, DM for the doubt, and all we can do is ask that in class or after class directly.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

The course curriculum is highly relevant and well-structured. It covers core subjects in detail along with modern industry-oriented topics. The balance between theory and practical learning is good, which helps students build strong concepts and job-ready skills for the future.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being brutally honest I don't think that the course contributes a lot to our preparation for the real world but it teaches us very new things which I like. The course might not be very helpful in our real life preparation or the preparation for the real world but at the same time it enhances our knowledge and teachers as about various new things so I am satisfied with my course and whatever the curriculum includes I like it

In term of relevance I'll say that there are many topics which should not be taught as they are way too old and contradicting in modern times. New tumes problems and solutions should be taught in replace focusing on present.

Placement Experience:

Final year students are generally placed with an average package of 7-8 lakhs for management programs. Companies including the big 4 like EY, KPMG, Deloitte and other reputed companies have visited and many offers have been made. Around 60% of the students get placed in management branch. After getting the degree, I am also planning to appear in the placement opportunities.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting
