Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As the people those who are sensitive are more attarcted to literature as theh understand better . English as a language is good but studying english as a full fleged subject it wonderment . It teaches us stuff beyond life which is so great . We have so many novels like pride and prejudice , Great expection , Charlotte bronte so we have range and varieties, starting from dark ages to Renaissance to Romantics period to Victorian period and so on . The teachers takes our internal assessment and our continous assessment. There are 2 types of classes one is lecture where we are taught about the stuff and then they is tutorial in which we do assignments and group projects .

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly wise fees was 13,500 including Tution fees , development fees and there was no lab fees as there is no lab fees as English honours dosent need any lab . Thou the people who belong from sc / st has comparatively lower fees and examinations fees as well.

Campus Life

2.5

I someone who dosent enjoy atteding fest and all so i never went , but yes fest do happens and you can even attend fest of different campus. Their are different societies you can apply The Placement Cell, the most prestigious society of any college , then their own department society , dance , music and theatre .

Admission

Our admission process was through CUET where we had to give exams which were of 800. As i am delhite , so its every delhite wish to study In Delhi university. So as I got Dyal Singh college there were mang plus points as the accomodation was quite affordable and the travel distance is not much . The college is connected to metro station so there are no extra charges to reach to college . I did applied in other private university but obviously they were quite expensive in comparison to Delhi university fees structure. Thats why i went for this.

Faculty

5

The faculty of Department of English is wonderful as they are themes graduates of Delhi university that too from North campus like St. Stephen's. They teach us very nicely . They make sure that we carry our books . During exams they are very approachable and they take online classes for revision and doubts . Every one gets pass in this subject very easily.

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
