Course Curriculum Overview
Sociology, being the best optional for upsc, drove me to opt for it. Also, I had sociology in +2 , which played a crucial role in me choosing it. This enhances chances of my future career options. Improvements can be done in faculty as all of em aren't upto the mark.
Internships Opportunities
Our college doesn't provided any internships but the University does and it's government affiliated one. We've to fill the form and apply for the same, then for 1 month we are asked to work tirelessly. The stipend is around 20000
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee for my course is around 15k and it doesn't have any increment. In brief; It's affordable Tution fee 150000 Registration fee around 1500 Examination fee around 1100 SCs and STs have low comapared to URs. The registration fee for SCs and STs is 1000 only. Except this we have Department fee of Rs150 every year for our department's upgradation, it's equal for all regardless of the category. Talkin about the scholarships, not my college but my University provides governmental scholarships for real. They're paid scholarships. You've to work accordingly for around a month.
Campus Life
Our college holds programs for every festival, but majorly Dandiya for Navratri is a must and the only college to hold it. The college gets decked up with lights, tents and food. Apart from it, recently we had Onam celebration. Fests where bollywood singers hold concerts make us jubilant!
Admission
I chose Miranda House over any other college of DU. It being the NIRF 1 justifies this. To be honest, I didn't apply for any other so there's no chance of rejection from any either. Miranda House is an emotion for we Mirandians! It excells in every aspect, be it the infra, the faculty, the crowd, the soothing environment, the authorities, the food, the scenery everything!
Faculty
The faculty of my college is amazing. They're so interactive and make classes amazing as they're chosen amomng best. Examination is held every biannual i.e 2 semesters a year. Assignments, projects are there as well We're marked on writing capacity, speed, innovation etc
