Course Curriculum Overview

5

English honours was my first preference because I like to read and write. Analysing texts is something I was always fond of and with the guidance of my professors it's become more fun. The course has not much placements opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I paid was 12000. My batchmates who have categories such as scheduled castes, schedule tribe or other backward castes have paid less compared to me because I have unreserved category. There are numerous scholarship available for students.

Campus Life

4

The campus life of delhi university has got to be the best. It's famous for its campus life for a reason. The library is filled with endless books, journals and we also have e-library. We have fests called Rhapsody.

Admission

I applied to north campus college of delhi university and I got maitreyi college which is a south campus college. The admission process of my college is 12000 per year . We had to give cuet to get into delhi university.

Faculty

4

The English department faculty is top notch but some teachers aren't as good. The administration office teachers are also rude at times. There are two exams mid semester per year and they are moderate level. Most of the students clear the exam

Night Life

4

After classes we usually go to canteen and lawns and parks which is in my college itself. In satyaniketan there are so much hangout places to hangout with friends. The campus timing are 8:30 to 4:30 .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
