Course Curriculum Overview

4

Krishna Yashraj Singh , I am a student of English Hons and I am in 2 nd year or 3rd semester. I feel very good being in this college as the environment is clean and people are mostly supportive . ARSD college,Delhi University South Campus

Internships Opportunities

3

Managerial inters are offered by delliote and many more companies But the thing is it's available for all but they consider mostly in economics hons and Bcom honours The PRO and BCO are the post they offer mostly

Placement Experience

3

The place is good in Economics honours and bcom honours Like I have seen people taking15 lac packages as well in Economics Hons the placement opportunity is great but only in these two courses . 2nd year students are elegible for sitting in placement but for internship first year can also have Diollete and zepto and HUL The two courses ( Economics and become) students are mostly placed if they want to I am preparing for civil services since today so it's the future plan other than this being teacher is good for me

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee of English Hons is 15000 per semester which increase at the rate of 15 percent percentage semester The whole course will be done in 1.2 lakh max for 3 year course without considering the accomodation cost The scholarship is available but I haven't filled it yet . And there is one process by which half of your fees will be refunded for reservation categories. The courses like bcom are little bit costly

Campus Life

4

There are many festivals like Aarambh and different departments fests You can have books from the library The technical aspect is good in bcom and bsc not in English Hons so I don't know this aspect The sport support and faculty is average since 2020 Society like nss ,ncc , herd the mental society and fashions societys are also there

Admission

I applied this college at preference no 5 I was also getting st Stephen's history Hons but with the best knowledge of my elder family members and professor I had gone to the language courses . I had also been in kirorimal college . The faculty there is very very nice especially the Nodal officer - Saumyajeet sir who is always ready to help the students. Apply for cuet then get around 650 in generally category then fill the preference and you are welcomed here ????

Faculty

4

Faculty to students ratio is 60 is to 1 but only in exams 60 people appear so the maximum class strength is 30 people. The environment here is peaceful and the group size is much larger . It gives us peaceful breathing. And not just hausty air like north campus * The teacher are mostly very friendly only some are the rude ones like chemistry and physics hons The English honours teachers are great they themselves want that none of their students will get 0 they ask for assignment till the last date of marking in office. Exams are moderate and their are some material which are revised Into question every years .

Interview Experience

1

No i did not have to face any group discussion or interview while taking admission to the college Be ready with the document and it should be of the same year and renewed . I did not have to appear for any interview

Night Life

4

The gym and cafes are loaded here the most of the cafes are in. Satya niketan which is nearby the campus The campus has canteen and one Nestle and one diary milk cart in the college campus and the gym are loaded in Satya niketan You can have musical partying with ghazal in night

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
