Remarks

Overall College was good it comes under top 10 college of University of Delhi. As every college it has some positive points and some negative points. College was small in size and have small ground faculty was average but college has good infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is average not so good and not so bad. Nothing in comparison to honours type of course and it includes 4 subjects in 1 semester. Course is good for those who want a regular college and want to prepare for government exam or any other competitive exam. Student while studying in this course have lots of free time to study for other exams.

Placement Experience

Placement is closed to null. You can say that less than 1 percent of placement was there and same senerio was for internship. Placement package was also average.maximum placement was 2.5 lakh per annum and there were 3 rounds in placement test first was aptitude and then gd and last was personal interview.

College Events

Yes it's the plus point of every college of University of Delhi. There were lots of event in my college. Every department celebrate its own fest and then atlast fest of whole college was celebrated. It provides u a good platform to show your skills and earn money and enjoy the moment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As University of Delhi comes under central government Fee was feasible.fees of my course was approximately 10000 for a year with lots of facility. I spent about 40000 for my graduation which is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I did not get any scholarship I don't have any idea about it but I know that topper of year of a particular course gets amount of 10000 RS from college for his academic performance. Apart from that there were many government provided scholarship programs.

Campus Life

It was good in extracurricular activities. College got huge fund for these activities and it spent it in good way. College also participates in sports in inter college matches and inter University matches. Students having interest in sports can perform good.

Alumni/Alumna

As college is new it doesn't have any good network of alumni mostly students go for higher studies after graduating from this college. In my course there were not any seniors as my course was closed for year year 2013-2014 because of new scheme of government called 4 year degree plan.

Admission

Got admission on the basis of marks of class 12 for best 4 subjects I got my name in first list and all the seats were full in the first list. I got 84 in best four subjects and cut off was 82 so I got admission.

Faculty

Most of the Faculty was good. But few were not having the standards of teaching of a college of University of Delhi. Few temporary teachers were also a problem they used to take more leaves and lack of experience was clearly seen in their teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Firstly the college is affordable any one can take admission
There is not too much social interaction

The aspects of the curriculum that influenced me to choose this course is that i have biology subject in class 12 so i thought of bsc The frequency and timing are good because we can give exams of 2 semester at a same time

venky is one of the best college in south campus

Likes

ratio of girls to boys is almost equal and students are well behaved
quality of social interaction is good students are cooperative
college societies are helpful for students and provide good guiding

Dislikes

our campus have 30+ dogs which is sometimes harmful for students
there is a language barrier between students and teachers
EVs faculty is very strict and they are not cooperative

this course is not bound to a particular subject or field. you can go to different fields after pursuing this course. curriculum is good it helps students and practicals are performed in labs which gives a real life experience difficulty level of exams is very moderate and you can pass the exam easily pyqs are repeated oftenly

The life at SVC

Likes

The fees is quite affordable, giving you a lot of flexibility for other academic programs/ commitments
The college has a great reputation and brand value
The exposure that the college provides in real life

Dislikes

The infrastructure is old and outdated, has a lot of scope for improvement
The administrative work is very slow and includes too much formalities
Low focus on co curricular activities and sports

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

the location, nearest metro station ie Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus is at a walking distance of 2-5 mins
the crowd, students are quite decent and friendly.
opportunities, in college itself there are so many opportunities for students to explore through college societies

Dislikes

classes are canceled sometimes without any prior notice which creates a hassle for students coming from far away.

Placement Experience:

the placements of sri venkateswara college are quite good. campus placements are offered for third and fourth year students to the best of my knowledge. the average ctc offered was of 6.43 lacs, highest of 13.4 lpa. many great companies like bain and company, bcg, ey, deloitte, pwc, goldman sachs, accenture, rsa offered placements. in total, 70+ companies came and about 115+ students were placed.

I like the atmosphere in our college. Our college promotes us to think beyond the boundaries.
We have lush green campus in vivek vihar . Our campus is surrounded by parks and we'll managed societies.
The student in our college share a very good mindset . Each student has some unique qualities or the other .

Dislikes

The faculty is not very good here . The teachers don't listen to problems faced by the students .
Our college's online presence is very disturbed. Our college website lags a lot and there are always issues with attendence.
The authorities are not very well managed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

The Honest Opinion about Hansraj College

Likes

The College provides great Exposure to everyone.
The Crowd and Societies of the College are always active and energetic.

Dislikes

The whole structure of Admin office is underdeveloped, which utilizes a lot of our precious time.
Many of the College events are ill-organised.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

The faculty of this college is highly supportive. It is known for their approachable and helpful nature. They are dedicated to teaching. They create a positive environment for students. They guide the students very well and support them highly.
College has a calm and quiet environment. It is surrounded by greenery. It is located in rural area. It is away from noise of city. It helps students to focus on their studies in a stress-free environment. It provides students a peaceful learning.
College provides a good transportion. It is situated nearby a bus depot. The college has its own bus also. It makes easy for students to travel to and from the college.

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college is worst. There is lack of proper buildings for classes. The canteen area is also not good. There is lack of complete apparatus in physics and chemistry labs. There are so many issues like broken seats and materials.
The college lacks a dedicated placement. There is limited structure support for students. Students have to secure internships and job offers through their personal efforts.
There is absence of societies and extra curricular activities. While the college has some clubs and events. The college does encourage students to engage in activities.

The things i liked in my college is the teching faculty provided. They have a good experience of teaching with mny research papers which have been published by them.
The second best thing is the college amenities like library and society. You will get every book required for you curriculum in the college library incuding few magzines too. The society will help you to develop other soft skills.
The most important part of college life are webinars where we interact with someone big professional like Dr. H. C. Verma sir who once visited in our college aur big faces too. Sports events, skills webinar, Cultural events makes the overall experien

Dislikes

A little bit old infrastructure can a point that is disliked by us and many students. As everyone wants to be a part of a new and good looking college
Lack of hostel facility in the college campus is a major issue. Specially for those students who are not able to accommodate in the Flats/PG due to thier financial status. But the new building will be available with all the facilities within few year

Placement Experience:

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.

yes, i have applied for other colleges who teach BMS. There is no any fixed confirmation to get admission in this college . I got this college randomly and I appied for computer science stream in the other colleges like St. Stephen ,Kirori mal college, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm college and other than delhi universities such as Banaras Hindu Universities (BHU) . 3 years of figuring it out at KMV

I applied for Symbiosis Pune, Christ Banglore, NMIMS Mumbai, IIM ROHTAK AND INDORE, I got admission in all except IIM, and also got in Keshav Mahavidyalaya after giving cuet, discussed which should i go for from many mentors and everyone adviced for KMV. Comparing to other colleges the fees here i very very less as all other are private colleges, but the services provided there are according to the fees and so is the crowd. Well I scored 350/450 in IIM Rohtak exam and what went wrong was the paper came way too easy due to which cutoff went 409 compared to 330 last year. I could have got any south campus college and even some of the north but I chose KMV because it was on second position for BMS.
