Course Curriculum Overview

4

Personally, I am very inclined towards the finance sector and I wanna make a career in that. Maths hons enables you to learn analysis and it facilitates my pursuing actuarial science along with the degree

Internships Opportunities

5

So the internship cell of Hindu college - Abhyas bridges the gap between opportunity seeking interns and the employers. Being a member of the internship cell myself, I can say that there are a wide range of opportunities offered to students in every field from graphic designing to content writing to business analytics. Companies like edukon, spice grill flame, tech curators etc have successfully hired interns from our college.

Placement Experience

4

I think students become eleigubke for placements from the 5th semester itself. A lot of big companies like google, KPMG have visited our college to offer placements. My plans after getting a degree are to get a job at a finance based company or at a big company like KPMG, delloit, Accenture etc

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fees per year is quite affordable. You have to deposit approximately 30000 annually, but the fee amount keeps increasing every year at approximately 10% rate. There are many scholarships available like Raja Bhargava Scholarship which gives benefit to students both merit based and category based

Campus Life

5

The annual fest Mecca is the heart of Hindu college as well as the entire DU. It is a 3 day event and it's really fun. Other than Mecca, Suruchi- the annual Diwali fest also takes place in October November. The library offers a wide range of books and resource materials.

Admission

I had applied at university of Delhi and GGSIPU, got admission in both. However I chose DU over IPU because DU offers a lot of exposure to the students and completely transforms their personalities in a good way. In DU, you need to attempt CUET, then make a preference list and the CSAS portal allots you a seat in a college and course according to your preference, marks, and category. I personally wanted economics hons at SRCC but got maths hons at Hindu College. My marks didn't make it up to the cut off list. But I feel great about my college too, it is NIRF rank 1 for science and arts streams.

Faculty

5

The student teacher ratio is 56:1 but this doesn't make it difficult for us to understand the concepts. The teachers provide special attention to each of us and they love to solve our doubts. You can approach the teachers anytime you want and they are available even after the college hours to help us. There are around 7 exams per semester including general elective, VAC, SEC and AEC, but it totally depends upon your choice of subjects. Some VAC and SEC courses do no take a theory exam and the marks are given on the basis of assignments and practicals.

Night Life

4

I am a day scholar so I don't know much about the night life. But the hostelites often roam around the campus at night, visiting faculty of arts, Delhi school of economics, Sudama chai wala. My personal hangout spot is the college canteen

Other Applied Colleges

Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies - [VIPS] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)

The value of DU is obviously more than IPU. Plus I wanted to to get exposure and grow myself

The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
