- The college environment is really beautiful and clean ,there are people always trying to keep the college clean. Even the washroom are very clean.
- The faculty and students are also really bright , intellectual and helpful.
- Their are various societies which foster leadership qualities and helps gain valuable skills.
Dislikes
- Although there is nothing as such that I dislike but I feel the library timing should be increased to 7:00pm from 5:00 pm so that students get more time for insightful discussion and self study.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of all the colleges in Delhi University is same and it is a bit more rigorous compared to other universities. It just not only tried to stuff theories into the minds of the students but also develop a thought pattern and also provides an interactive environment. The students can get detailed knowledge of the subject they are pursuing.
Fees and Financial Aid
I think the fee structure is preety good ,for one year i.e for the 1st and 2nd sem , the college takes the fee simultaneously i.e around 30000 for all the courses. For my course ,as I fall in the general(ews) category my free was 28000. Apart from this we only pay for the examination fee per sem ,the fee depends on the course and subjects you've selected and it falls below 2000. Like for my 1st sem it was just 1400. For other category students the fee difference is around 1000 or so. But the pwd gets special benifit of around 50% fee exemption. There are several scholarship for different courses which merit based on your 1st year scores and a very few in caste wise. The scholarship pays around 10000-30000 per student.
Campus Life
Their is an annual event in Hindu which is known as Mecca , it famous in the entire Delhi University. Also their are other events like department fresher and college fresher held in the auditorium . The college library has books of the all the courses being offered in the colleges. The books suggested by the university for the course are available. Apart from that their are also some reference and books for civil services and other competitive exams. There is a sports complex with large field which also has a basket ball courts , students play football, kabadi , cricket , badminton ,vollyball etc. Their are many students group which host their independent event in the college by calling some special guest.
Admission
As Hindu college is the best colleges of Delhi University, so it was my first preference. The admission process in the college was very smooth. The entire process was online. Their is portal of Delhi University CSAS where we have to submit the details , documents and also pay the fee after we get seat into the college. The reason for being the best is that apart from the quality education , their are several events ,program and progressive student groups which provides insightful information and help develop skills and congnitive thinks . The college environment being very inclusive is one the reason for choosing the college.
Faculty
The course structure is a bit rigours and that's one of the reasons for the hype of Delhi University. There are 3 subjects of the course you want to get honours in. It helps to students develop a more information of the subject.Apart from the core there are subjects like Aec, Vac , Sec and Ge in which we have several option where you can learn other subjects apart from your core . They also include some subjects that helps boost your IT skills. The faculty is great, they put in efforts to teach us and explain the concepts. To make subject more interesting they give us assignment, projects , presentations to develop a self learning and detailed reasearch of the topic. Apart from the semester final exams there are class test whose marks are added as the internal marks in your exam.
Night Life
The college situated in the north campus of Delhi University,is surrounded by other colleges. There is a kamla nehru ridge on the other side as well which could pose danger of robbery and theft in the time. But the other side is a major city area which mostly filled by students all the time .
