Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum of mnit is updated and renewed in each 2 years, hence the course is new every time. The curriculum is structured in such a manner that it tries to equip student with knowledge that they will be requiring 5 to 6 years post-admission in MNIT. The areas of improvement comprise modernisation of computer Labs, imparting modern era softwares such as electrical auto desk, solidworks, etc. and work life balance since the number of classes is above 25 and the average class hours for a week is above 28 hours a week. The period of the examination is twice a semester. The examination are categorized into sections: the mid semester examinations and the end semester examination.End semester examinations are hard to pass but on the contrary mid semester examination are scoring in nature.

Placement Experience

3

The placements of MNIT Jaipur are excellent as per circuital branches, the average package in the circuital branches is 18 lakhs. However, in the case of non circuital branches, huge no. of students go for higher in and outside India and many of the students are also interested in government sectors.Because of this, placements percentage drops to 50%.The max placement in the core civil sector is 11 lakhs. The average package in the civil engineering branch is 8.2 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Registration fee:1000 Fees of tuition 62500 Development fees 2400 Library and Book bank charges: 1750 Computer and internet charges:4000 Sports: 3000 Tech fest fees:1800 Student Welfare fee:1000 Training placement:2000 Examination fee:1000 Lab fees;2000 Caution money:15000 Total fees:81000(college)+24000(hostel+mess) All the above fees are for a single semester only. All other batchmates have to pay the same except the batchmates of SC category, they need not pay 81000 as a college fee

Campus Life

4

The life of the college overall is really good at Mnit Jaipur. There are frequent events that includes interaction of student with student like the annual sport fest and the annual Techfest, etc. There are a lot of events which are conducted between the semesters so that students can de-stress. There are two major fest in the college those are the Sphinx that is conducted in the month of November and The Blitz that is conducted in the month of February. One of the biggest online + offline collection of books and journals of Northern Asia is housed at the Mnit Jaipur. The classes are so arranged that they are properly ventilated and comfortable to sit. There are two projectors and a large blackboard for the students and the staff to take notes. There are sports facilities in the college but the time slot is so tight that most of the students can't handle their Sports along with their college life.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel campus is excellent the facilities available in the room are bed study table to sit on good light and a ceiling fan above your head with almirah to store all your personal items. The mess quality at mnit is poor. The food consumed is primarily unhygienic and may contain Steel fibres in your food. The registration process of hostel is completed on mnit's online portal where you need to pay 24000 rupees as mess charges and hostel charges together.

Admission

MNIT is among the best NITs of Northern India further it possesses a highly strong mechanical in civil departments which is regarded to be the strongest one after IIT Roorkee in Northern India to be admitted into MNIT you need to clear JEE Mains examination with a minimum 97% tile for the general category further than you need to apply for JOSAA and C-SAB consuelling to admit into MNIT. I have also taken admission in NIT Allahabad mechanical engineering but I wasn't able to get it since that closed 1000 above my rank, it is mentioned that they have a very good mechanical department as well. MNIT Jaipur also had had a great infrastructure to look out and also give frequent industrial visits to enhance practical knowledge.

Faculty

5

The ratio of faculty to students in MNIT is 1:40,the faculty members are cooperative in nature and deliver the immense knowledge in their respective field. There are two notable faculties in civil engineering branch who put their heart and soul in their respective fields.these are Mr Sayyam(Phd MIT, America) MIT tal Dhiraj Raj(Phd IIT Rookere). The exams are held twice in a semester, these are the mid semester exams and end semester exams. The mid semester tests are easy to clear but the end semester exams are difficult to clear.Around 10 to 15 students out of a class of 120 fail to clear the test.

Interview Experience

4

No,there wasn't any specific interview/test or group discussion which was carried out prior to my admission in MNIT.The admission process in MNIt involves clearing the JEE mains exams with minimum 97% percentile (so to get eligible in case of general category) then you will have to sit in Jossa/csab counseling to get into MNIT

Night Life

4

The night life of MNIT is largely experienced by boys alone since the girls hostel is closed by 10:00 p.m. There are two night canteens, one in the girls hostel and a common night canteen for all the boys hostel combined. The popular hangout spots within the campus are the PMC and the Pratap Sthal. the popular hangout spots outside the campus are the GT Mall and the World Trade Centre and also coffee jar.MNIT Jaipur has one of the biggest collection of online and offline books and novels combined in Northern Asia

The course is well structured and designed for students to learn the subject in detail and to know about topics in detail and make sure to understand things clearly before implementing them in real life. There are certain areas for improvement but they will keep get better. Timetable should be made such that students get break in between the classes so that they can be less exhausted throughout the day

Obviously there is a campussing process that gives the students the opportunity to get their desired job. You can also go off campus to get bigger opportunity, but it will be on your head only that means it's a risk. But the average placement provided by the university is 6 lakhs and the highest one is 72 lakhs per annum.
