Likes
- It gives great exposure. As there are students from various regions of India, we get diversity.
- It has a lot of clubs and societies. Academic wise as well as co-curricular wise.
- In order to get admission here, one needs to score a certain number of marks. Due to this the environment comprises of good and selected students only.
Dislikes
- It being a girls college doesn't provide a real corporate type of environment.
- The requirement to maintain min 67 percent attendence
- Cancellation of classes at the very last moment
Course Curriculum Overview
About the core subjects, it's great But the introduction of new SEC VAC AEC and GE feels pointless. It's just an extra burden to study and honestly I don't feel like any skill is being added. Also, in GE HINDI is compulsory in my college. What about those students who don't know hindi?
Internships Opportunities
My college has offered internships in really really great companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and even in Big four companies that is EY, Deloitte, KPMG and PWC. The placement cell of my college has direct contacts with these companies
Placement Experience
As per I've heard, placements here are decent. I can't say for sure because I'm new here. About my plans, I am doing CFA side by side because I don't believe that a bachleors degree has any valur of it's own, one needs to pair it with something else.
Fees and Financial Aid
My year wise fees is 34,600. It includes all the registration fees, development fees, lab fees etc because no other fees is charged apart from this. I have no idea if it's increasing or not because it's my first year. I am from General Category and I don't have any scholarship.
Campus Life
I to be honest felt that the campus life is decent. I feel it's more about north campus vibe rather than DRC vibe. I've heard that Manjari is the annual event of DRC and it's really great. There are loads of books available at our library And as I've already mentioned about the clubs, they are greattt!!
Admission
I personally chose this college because it's in north campus of delhi university and I wanted to see what's the hype about? Moreover, according to my marks I was not able to get into srcc or stephens, so drc was the option.
Faculty
I am an Economics+Maths student and I must say that my faculty is really great. They are really approachable and kind to students. About the exams, one year consists of two semesters and each sem has a midsem. So there are 4 exams in a year.
Night Life
I don't live in a in campus hostel so i don't know exactly about that but I've heard It's pretty awesome. Yes there is a gym in my college Right in front of my college main gate there is a very tasty parantha stall. About the hangout place, there is faculty of arts right opposite to my college.
