Likes
- I just like the library arrangement of my college. It's very appropriate environment for studying and preparing for your exams well. Also, the library remains open in sundays too for students who face difficulty for studying at home.
- Greenery of our college, lots of trees and herbs in college, front lawn in so suitable for sitting calmly and soending quality time with friends.
- Staff members in the lab have modest behavior. They understand student's problems but some professors also scold them on silly things just to show their power in front of students.
Dislikes
- The timetable of our college. Significant no. of students who are studying in college come from far i.e. nearly 2 to 3 hrs travel. The time table remains like 8.30 am to 6pm classes which is so inappropriate, even we don't get time for self study.
- Bad teaching method of some professors. They just open the ppt and read it, sometimes they skip the syllabus topics, upon asking they scold us that can't we do it ourselves. On asking doubts, they instead of clearing them insult students
- Students who are in different activities or societies have to face lot of insult by professors in classroom.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is suitable for students. The SEC ( skill enhancement) and VAC ( value addition) courses are helpful for students for their future. Which prepares well students for the real world applications. Areas of improvment are the teaching methods of professors, they should keep a polite behavior so they students can easily ask their doubts. Timings of exams are sometimes not suitable in winters it's freezing cold to go to exams in morning in December and jan months
Fees and Financial Aid
For this year my fees was nearly approximately 34,000 ? i.e. for 2nd year. And for last year, the first year in college, my fees was approximately 36,750?. Which I paid through online method, a pretty easy task for me to submit my college fees through online portal. Moreover, last year submitted the NSP form which was available for everyone for scholarship which took a lot of time to get submitted in the admin office because many documents were needed in that like Caste certificate, adhaar card, 10th, 12th marksheet etc. I got a scholarship of 12,000? for 1st year. For this year I have submitted my verification documents, and waiting for the scholarship to come. My batchmates nearly have the same fees but also it differs a little due to the theory or practical weightage of their SEC or VAC subjects .
Campus Life
Annual fest is Manjari, a vibrant fest which was full of enjoyment. Last year the celebrity was Shahid mallaya. The concert was enjoyful. Many sports and society exposure is available for students who are excel in these fields also. I also went to IIT kanpur from music society of our college.
Admission
I applied for others colleges too in my preference list. But this college was in first preference as i want the course Bsc Biochemistry honours in a all girls college and this college was fitting well into my criterias. I also gave ECA exams as a backup for getting admission in DU. But I already cleared it to get my first preference. Admission process is through cuet exams, we have to be stay updated about the phases in Delhi university portal.
Faculty
Approachable ratio is almost nil because of rude behavior of faculties. The students who are involved in society just to represent their college among other colleges didn't even get attendance by faculties. They waste the time students by asking the sign for lots of professors for giving attendance & still don't update attendace on ERP portal and ignore messages upon asking. Saying honestly I don't like any of the faculties but the behavior of staff members of the department is modest, they understand students. Total two exams in one semester since last semester i.e. one mid sem and other is final semester exams. Bsc students also have practical exams. These exams are easy to clear if the student study well according to the syllabus and PYQs to understand oaper methodology.
Night Life
Honestly I do not hang that much around college. But still I get expiriences from my friends about the hostel timings which are moderate i.e. not too well or bad. Library is well vantilated and full of calm environment suitable for studying.
