The events in the college are pretty amazing and all the students get a lot of fun. Since the college knows that all its students need time to come out of the academics study zone and needs to relax, the college organizes a lot of events on a regular basis. Students are also taught how to manage things like events by giving them small tasks at first.
Since I didn't score good marks in class 12 and entrance exam which would be considered for the scholarship program. Although I tried some local institutes that offers scholarship program but due to high number of applications, the students were given the duty of getting the work done effectively and efficiently.
I gave a lot of entrance examinations of whose scores were accepted by the college but I got good score of 91 percentile in MAT only. The college gave me a case study to solve as the next round of selection and then called me for a round of interview where they also asked me about the process through which I solved the case study.
The internship teaches a lot of things about the industry and I was lucky to find myself in the company of my dreams. The college also gives a letter of recommendation in case the company doesn't entertains you seriously for the internship program. The duration of the internship is usually 3 months.
I was worried that I won't be able to clear the entrance examination since I wasn't good at logical reasoning questions but then someone recommended me a book which came out to be quite useful to me and helped me solve the questions by understanding their pattern and I was able to clear the entrance examination.
The campus life is super amazing and everyone must chill out, make new friends and connect with a lot of people. Being in this college gave me a lot of benefits and I got to learn a lot about me and the industry. I also completed few other short term courses that would help me while working in the industry.
Internship gives the student an exposure in the industry that they are looking forward since a lot of time. The students will get the tasks and small projects on which they will be supervised by the managers. Upon completion of the internship programe, the student will have to create a report explaining his / her experience.
There are a lot of events where a student challenges the other student to out-perform each other by writing a code or designing something in the half time of the actual stipulated time period. This kind of activities are fun to be involved with as well as it challenges the mind to complete the task in half of the time.

Campus life is the best part of being a GEC student. The campus is huge and walking from classes to labs was better exercise than any gym. There is a good gender ratio in the college but unequal among the various branches. GEC is not very diverse as the 95% of the students are from Goa it self, and some of the rest 5% are from the north east. There is no real discrimination, but no real integration either. GEC has a football ground, cricket ground, table tennis tables, volleyball court etc etc. Also students who represented the college for sporting events got extra credit. I can only talk about the electrical labs and they were really good and the lab assistants were friendly let you work on equipment anytime!
Detailed and well managed. We were introduced to right topics at right times. For example circuit theory which is thought in third semester was the base that was needed to understand linear integrated circuits in the fourth semester. Most teachers tried to generate interest for the subject in each student. Making us engineers not electricians was the main objective. But, due to lack of faculty not all electives were available, some just having one choice rendering the term "elective" useless. I personally would've liked to take industrial robotics but was stuck with special electrical machines.
The course structure is very good with learning through case studies . groups are formed to cover case studies . Teachers. are constantly guiding you to learn through research and understanding There is a summer internship that is required to be done at the end to first year where to have to submit a research report .Apart for that FRP also need to be submitted at the end to session

The festival is generally a 5 day event, where a seperate 2 day was there only for sports. Technical n cultural fests were awesome. Organised in the campus and the footfall was good. students from nearby colleges turned up. The organisation was awesome.
The college did provide scholarship under state government in different religions quota. We used to receive ₹25k every year on that. No the college didn't provide any loan, but did help in allowing more time to pay the fees.

Campus life @ IIT Kharagpur is awesome. We rank 2 nd all over India in campus experience. Though the institute has a poor gender ratio , VGSOM has a fair gender ratio which is usually around 1 female: 3 male. The institute has a wonderful mix of ethnicity ,race, religion, political and economic orientation. We have different cultural clubs and societies representing different areas such as literature,Management,Science & Robotics,Social-welfare and sports. We also have elected student bodies both at the department level and at the hostel level. We have mess committees ,sport clubs exclusive to different departments and hostels. VGSoM organised many workshops ,covering different spheres of management, around the year.
It is very feasible.6.5 lacs for the entire course.I think it hasn't changed much since I have joined. Also, there are many scholarships available which can yield you half or full fee waiver. Further to that,IIT ecosystem offers many other scholarships both national and international. We also have a facility to avail scholar loan which is offered at a discounted rate of interest then the prevailing market rate.Hostel fees is also very nominal. It is around 19k per semester.

It was good curriculum as it was world federation of occupational therapy recognized. but there is long way way and struggle for occupational therapy right from its curriculum that an make it more practically and professionally useful. There are many specially kids with autism and other special kids who need Occupational therapy.
Exam structure were up to the mark with required level of strictness and discipline as it should be in a medical course. Again there has to be more practical involvement then just theoretical learning. it was semester wise, exam every 6 months and main exams every year and later was totaled in four year course
The faculties of the college are the true friends of the students and always want that they get success in their life. They are very firm while teaching and very strict in terms of assignments and projects but very open and warm when discussing their life and work experiences with us so that we can avoid the mistakes in life.
I applied for the scholarship program while applying for the course program in the college. I secured very good marks in class 12th and the entrance exam and knew that I have a very good chance in getting the scholarship program. I was able to get a scholarship offer where my first year tuition fees was discounted.
Since I was able to get a placement offer during the internship and I accepted it since I knew that I won't be able to get an offer better than this, I didn't move forward with the placement week and ruin the chances of others getting the offers. Everyone deserves a chance to get good offers and I didn't want to come in between of it for anyone.
We were asked to present a project report on our internship program. I was very happy to prepare it since I had a very good learning experience and was able to describe more than 3 tasks that were assigned to me during the internship. I was even able to get a job offer before the actual placements.
Learning codes and other stuffs is quite easy than to apply it practically. Execution makes sure that you have learnt something actually. The faculties of the college understands this and makes sure that the students get plenty of practicals and assignments to work on so that they are able to write codes in their sleep also.
I did a lot of research about the college from internet, senior students, coaching institutes and my school teachers. Everyone recommended me to give a try and get an admission in this college if I'm looking to pursue Bachelors in computer applications and create a future in the information technology industry.

After writing the KEE examination, I awaited for my result. After the results were published, I had received a call letter stating that I had cleared the exam and had to appear for the enrolment day. On that day, I was well informed about the course and its wide range of opportunities. After the enrolment, a few more administrative papers were filled along with the payment of the fees for the first semester.
The university can best be named as a classic Christian university that follows the norms seen in Christian colleges. Though predominantly Christian, the university is secular in nature and supports all religions equally. Campus life is quite fun with a system that is ever-changing that keeps the students on their toes at all times. Workshops are held at equal intervals in all fields of sciences.
I got admission by giving the entrance test of the college. I got very good marks and rank in the entrance and was able to secure admission. I also got 73% in class 12th which was enough for me to be able to get admission. I learnt about everything the college has to offer by seeking out information from the seniors of the college.
The faculties of the college focuses on perfection and they want that all the students are able to grow and develop into the professional which would be wanted by all the companies in the industry. They have a pretty good share of their experience working in the industry and shares their experiences with everyone.
The course involves learning of all the major languages and developing new skills in the students. The curriculum involves all the major activities and assignments and tests which would help in bringing out new knowledge and skills in the students pursuing this course. In order to achieve success, the student needs to be creative.
To get admission in the college, the interested students can be from any course/stream but should have a basic understanding of the computers and its languages. Atleast they should know how to write a code in HTML. This is because the basics will help a lot to revise the old syllabus as well as learn new things in the college.
The course helps students to develop certain skills which helps them create new products and designs. The students need to be hyperactive and responsive so that they are able to learn these new skills. These skills are challenging in nature but are very good to learn so that the students are able to perform better in the industry.
The students were always happy to be involved in tech events where they were able to test their skills and have fun at the same time. There were various short term events where the students were able to earn extra course certificate that would benefit them in the long run as well as increase their knowledge.

exam structure is based on aktu examination pattern. There are mainly 3 exams - unit test, mid semester exams, university exam. unit test are small tests of 15 marks which do add up in result midsem's are also small but of 20 marks and last university test is of 70 marks,it decides that student got a back or not everything is chilled out and there is no pressure if u do everything in the electure time there are also small assignment and tutorials which u will get time in the college
the campus life is so okish.u cannot wear casuals ,u can only wear uniform, there is a lot of discipline and attention is paid towards your attendance in college.u cannot have less than 75%of attendance or u will not be permitted to sit in examination hall.gender ratio is really bad around 75%boys to 25% girls but have a good diversity there are all labs and many games and sports.also there is a club activity like robotics , electronics , computer s and others too
All were good. Gender ratio was okay like in the class of 50 approximately 29 were boys. Extra curricular activities were also there and professors encouraged us to participate in. The gender ratio was too much less in mechanical engineering department and civil engineering department where as it was 1:1 in computer engineering department for obvious reasons. There was no recrimination at all in regards to gender and religion. The colleges in India are not like that where you will see the discrimination in gender or religion in behavior only you will see the discrimination in fee structure.
It was good for IT, mechanical placements was slow. The training and placement officer was not active for the departments like mechanical, civil and electrical engineering. There was only placements for computer. when asked about why there is campus interview drives for other departments except computer the training and placement officer used to tell us that there is slag in other departments no one is hiring, which was a bluff may be the officer was not able to bring core companies for the campus interview drives.
No the college placement cell is dumb, one must not rely on the college placement cell for securing an internship which is important to graduate and get the degree. However, some companies that come during placement season, may not be providing a full time job, but hiring interns for six months and later on converting them in permanent employees. The companies that come to my mind are AON Hewitt, Algoworks, etc. The stipend given by AON Hewitt is 15000 per month with free transport.
The fee structure was quite reasonable during my batch. The fee structure for each year is different. Also student gets the chance to get student's scholarship where the Uttar Pradesh government will pay for the student college fees. Also the college gives the credit period of two months to the students who are not able to pay semester fees immediately at the starting of the semester
