I would specifically tell you about my department. The placements and job opportunities vary year to year. CSE department has 60 students and in 2013, 4 people got selected in TCS, 1 in Web Spiders and few more in other startups. In the year of 2012 TCS hired 12 students from CSE and few students got placed in other companies, it was around 60% students got placed in the year 2012 however this was not the case in 2013.

The Course Syllabus were standard, basically, the syllabus which is being followed by every college under West Bengal University of Technology is same however the approach is different for different college which they follow to cover the syllabus, most of the college mainly focus on those subject which is essential for placement not for those which is essential for research.

There are two major events in college. The first one being the technical fest at the beginning of the new session and a cultural fest in march. Other festivals are also celebrated and there are events such as MUN, sports tournaments also. Both the technical as well as the cultural fests get participants from outside the college and there are great crowd and celebrities invited which put up a great show.

The fee structure is feasible with an average fee of around 2.75 lacks. This fee depends upon the choice of mess and room. Whether it's A/C or Non A/C and on the mess i.e if it's veg non-veg or special mess. The academic fee being around 2 lacks and the rest is the mess and hostel charges. The gym is included in the hostel fee but the laundry services need to be paid separately.

One is the technical named as symposium. We were volunteer at that time in this event. Second LAA Garba ( LD Alumni Association). It a navratri festival. Top singers with band are invited at our college for two days. And people play dandiya. Then Mr & Miss college of student event was organized. In that people show their talent.

First I got the registration number. After getting that, I paid admission fees & online form regarding my educational information. Then they declared merit list. Then based on merit number I got admission in L.D. college. Then I completed university & college formalities. This way I got the admission.

We got only one or two teacher who are good at there subject. Rest were Not good, overall it was like they sometimes hire faculty who are appearing for M.tech. Less Experienced faculty . Some Faculty is so supportive and motivating, but many of them even do not have any experience in teaching or subject knowledge , they come take attendance and go.

Course Structure is totally according to MDU .So, Research part is not as much. English Subject is mandatory , Some use less Subjects are also there which i never used in practical world, Less emphasis on research .But it depend on oneself , how to study and continue. 8th sem is totally dedicated to Internship.

Faculties are very talented and efficient in all subjects. The faculties took some of the lectures and conducted tutorial classes in calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, probability, and regression analysis at UG and PG levels. These courses are solely for the understanding of the basic sciences. Faculties always paid more attention to the physical significance and applications of the concepts.

The exam structure is very good. It consists of multiple-choice as well as a written exam. During the semester the course consists of several quizzes and mid-term examinations. Generally, the quizzes are for one hour and students are doing well in such type of examination. The mid-term examination consists of 30 percent weightage. The final examination of 50 percent of total marks.

Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College is an autonomous college. That means yes they follow a specific university but they are not under that university. All the structure and processes are decide by the college itself. I studied Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Communications, I must say the whole structure and the process is standard and upto the mark. I never felt there are some flaws and it has to be improved.

So it's the main part. I think faculties are the main source to to acquire your knowledge in Engineering particularly. Let me be frank, I dont have the capability to judge our respective Faculties. I am just trying to express my personal experience. I must say they are so qualified to clear all your doubts. They are even always ready to help you outside class room.

The gender ratio was 1:6 for women:men. The extracurricular activities were very limited and definitely not encouraged. The labs were good and on par with the theoretical material that was taught in the curriculum. Overall, my experience was that the campus environment is extremely racist towards those who came from a particular part of India and also to those belonging to minority religions.

We had 3 exams every semester. The Test1 was held approximately 45 days after the beginning of the semester, thereafter the Test2 was help after another month and finally the comprehensive exams were held at the very end of the semester. The lab exams were held mostly every week during the labs itself.

A number of Symposiums will be conducted in the College for every department individually. Extra Curricular activities will be supported by college in all ways. However it depends upon the support from the department management. Few departments concentrate on studies and few on sports and extra curricular activities.

There is a placement cell in the college, However no companies visited our college during my course period. A company came up for ECE department, where we also attended the interview and 2 got placed in it. There is no Job guarantee from the college end. It's upto the student to get into a job out of his efforts.

As far as placement is concerned companies visited our college were not very good but not very bad also. If your score is good you'll get a decent job however jobs offered were always less in comparison of the number of the students passed out. Overall if your academics are good and if your communication skills are good you will be place easily.

I applied online on the Bareilly college portal giving my basic details like name, previous school name, my percentage in 12th standard,my percentage in 10th standard, the board school was affiliated with, my date of birth etc. After paying the fees I was provided with the necessary forms to fill which I after filing deposited in the college.

Course structure was good. Only 4 to 5 colleges in Maharashtra offer that course, so cannot compare. But it was lacking in research. Only theoretical approach was seen. Labs were not hi tech. For some experiment for our final project we have to went to Pune university. Electives were compulsory for 2 semesters. Which was decided randomly, where you can learn some from different branches like IT or mechanical.

Exams were very frequent. Now there are two tests and one final exam for each subject. Main problem was each faculty used to decide their own exam date for tests which leaves you with continuous tests. Lab sessions were chilled. Final exam are not like university where rest in between papers is for 5 days, here you will only get 1 day, which is good, saves time.

Yes, my college provided internship but there are no stipend only learning was there and I loved it. My internship was in Queen's Mary school and it was for 3 months . I almost taught 70 students in a class in practical way . In our teaching practice books are not allowed to be open on students desk and we have to teach them with experience, experiments and many other ways .

At my time it was good . They focus on creativity, learning by doing, exposure to practical work , less theoretical.basically they more emphasized on research work not only google or computerised knowledge but we visited many areas and places to know about are research work . We gave many presentations and also got guidance side by side.

They released the notification in papers and online media. I filled the form and then i got call for an interview where it was pretty tough. A lot of candidates appeared for that. Administration was helpful in getting students what they want and making them understand more about the college and course.

CFD is a very wide area and booming area nowadays. One can find a lot of jobs if he/she makes the most the education. Any company would hire him/her. College placements are average but reputation is very high when we go for off campus placements maybe because of previous batch students that are placed.

The campus life is very good and every one will like that life definitely. The gender ratio is little bit bad female gender is very less say out of 60 students only 10 students are female gender .Coming to diversity it has excellent diversity students are from all parts of the country .The extra curricular activities are good the debates,jam sessions ,group discussions and many more are there and sports competitions are also held.

In this college admission is purely for army wards. After JEE mains we have to fill a separate application for joining in this college which will available in the official website of AIT .After one week of the declaration of the JEE mains ranks the AIT merit list will be published on the AIT website and the admission is purely based on the JEE mains ranks (Based on which the merit list is prepared).

The faculty of the college are very knowledgeable and they are kind and helpful too. They seem to have a very prospective view about the students and are ready to help the students. The staff is polite and the teaching is also very good. Though some of the students don't like the faculty because of their own attitude problems. I haven't faced any kind of problem till now.

The admission process is pretty straight. You have to make a dead draft fill particular forms and it's all about an hour and half's job. Though the dte work takes very much time and it's very slow and you have to wait for months. And these months are like years.

Well there are some companies which come for placement but only a few of the students get selected for the job .As there interview is tuff .For eg .If 128 students have given interview only 4-5 students from them would be selected for job.The companies which come at college are Wipro, TCS, Infosys etc. Packages are from 3 lakhs.

First we filled the admission form which came from university and gave a Demand draft as needed by the college with it.Then remaining fees was paid one month later through online payment at university's website .Where we again filled the form and uploaded scanned copy's of our college certificate's.

Course is good. Teachers are good and teaches well. Practicals are there from which you will get more knowledge. University will provide more options to take part in cultural , sports as well as educational contests. There is a technical society of the university which conducts some technical contests and also arrange educational classes for the student at free of cost.

A note on campus life, gender ratio and diversity. All the extracurricular activities like labs, sports, competitions such as robotics, debates etc. – are there in the college. Extra certifications are provided in HTML,android , java Gender ratio at my time M:F 3:2. But there is no restriction for admission of male/female.

The faculty of this college are extremely qualified and experienced. They maintain a a friendly atmosphere in the class room. They always cover the whole syllabus before exams. The give valuable suggestions so that we can prepare well for the exams. The teachers always try to solve problems given by each students so that no one in the class left with confusion.

The college follows WBUT ( presently MAKAUTB) syllabus. I enjoyed the course curriculum. The syllabus covers all the corners related to that particular branch of engineering. If a student can thoroughly follow the classes and the books recommended by the syllabus itself, he/she will gain a superior knowledge regarding that branch of engineering.

Faculty are varied form senior most lecturers to junior lecturer, based on the subject preferences and subject importance this experience play a vast role. But we can see most of the less experience faculty will be there more and limited experienced staffs. But the interest nothing be so difference between less experience or more experience staffs. But yes whoever given me the assistance are fair enough to provide there best.

Some of the consultancy companies will come by every year, and people who are all clear are allowed to attend and almost all the companies will be bpo companies. No any core company from any back ground will be provided by our college. Be frank I had arrears during by 6 th sem so I didn't attend the interview, but I have heard people who attended the interview none of them got placed.

Entrance exam conduct but the college for the M-Tech Course in Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. I ranked 13th, among 2500 numbers of candidates. Total 18 numbers of seat is allotted for the course. I opted for this particular course in this particular college because of its Robotics Lab, the finest one in the state of West Bengal. I am an engineer who till date designs Robots and robotic gadgets.

I don't have the audacity to assess the faculty of the college. All the people teach in our institute are from the background from different renowned MNCs and Research Institutes. Most of them have PhD from universities in US, UK & GERMANY. We are blessed that we got the chance to learn something from such kind of people. We learned a lot of thing from them which will help us to excel our skill in future.
