Our college was one of the celebration college. we celebrated Ganesha festival, teachers day ,college fest,sports day and many more Activities. We use to have three day techno culture fest which includes technology , many technical aspects and culture event like dance ,singing fashion show. Our college was know for its fashion show.

Never forgettable college life gender ratio is pretty good overall it was unforgettable 3 years for me, I learnt everything and anything enjoyed classes and mass bunks in college bunking with friends was one-off the good time pass we had gym, TT and badminton and a very big stadium for people to have refreshing their day.

Girls are more in numbers compared to boys in UG with a M:F of 1:2. Periodically Unit parties will be going on whenever a batch of interns complete their postings in that particular department for 2 months. Batch parties and tours are a frequent thing in the campus. Many of the students are from Andhrapradesh, Tamilnadu and Karnataka. Though such a diversity exists there are no gangs or groups based on state or language, all the students are jovial and get along with each other. We have a small saying over here like "Students are Telugu, Teachers are Kannada and the patients are Tamil" Hence Unity in Diversity.

There is wide scope for research in our college. I, as a Pg student has to do one thesis (which is kind of research). We utilize the prestigious NABL accredited Laboratories and also conduct various studies on a long term basis. The followup of the patients(who were undertaken in study) is also very good. We have published many papers in National and International journals and conferences.

Here are a few events listed. MAJOR EVENTS FOR THE YEAR 2010-2016 August 5th – 7th, 2010: National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Team visit conducted. August 21st – 28th: Golden Jubilee Year of Shillong College Students’ Union. 25th September, 2010: The College in collaboration with the unit of Meghalaya College Teachers’ Association (MCTA) hosted the 29th General Conference of the Association. The Conference was inaugurated by Shri. Vincent H. Pala, Hon’ble Minister of State for Water Resources, Government of India. 4th October, 2010: Shillong College in collaboration with the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Meghalaya observed “World Habitat Day” with number of student oriented programme. 8th October, 2010: A meeting of teaching and non-teaching staff was convened by the IQAC to discuss the NAAC Peer Team Report on Reaccreditation and Reassessment of the College and to draw the roadmap for the future. College was awarded CGPA of 2.92 with Grade ‘B’ by NAAC. 21st December, 2010: A felicitation programme in the honour of Dr (Mrs) M. P. R. Lyngdoh, Principal was organised prior to her retirement from 1st July, 2011. 31st December, 2010: Dr (Mrs) M. P. R. Lyngdoh retired and Dr. M. Dey, Vice Principal took over as Principal In-charge. 7th May, 2011: Department of Mathematics, organised a programme entitled “The Importance of Mathematics and its various Applications”. 1st July, 2011: Dr. K. D. Ramsiej took over as regular full-time Principal of the College. 16th November, 2011 - Department of Chemistry of the College celebrated the “International Year of Chemistry”. 7th and 8th of December, 2011: Department of Botany and Microbiology of the College in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell organised a two-day Workshop-cum-Training programme on “Mushroom cultivation” under UGC sponsored ”Development of Location specific Curricula” . 16th December, 2011: Women’s Cell of the College organised a programme on “Domestic Violence on Women and Atrocities on Women and Children”. Sept 20 to 25, 2011: Two students of the college Smt. Nasima Begum Choudhury and Shri Shiningstar Kharbuli visited China from, as members of Indian Delegation for cultural and traditional exchange programme under the aegis of Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of India. Yes, as mentioned, students falling in Schedule Caste, Schedule tribes and Other Backward Classes are refunded their paid fee as scholarships. They can use the same money to pay next year fee and still get those refunded. There is no scholarship program as such. Fee is not super heavy to take a loan. However, if you still wish to take a loan, then education loans are provided by all the banks. The college is NAAC accredited and is recognised nationally. So you won't face any trouble.

Generally sports events where organised and in feb and march there are two big function called fem-fest for girls and annual day for all students are organised you can enjoy there with free meal.

Fee structure is good its around 1.20 lakh per annum which includes food and snakes with tea, coffee and milk which you will get every day. Both veg and non-veg is available.

They have great knowledge and experience. They explain the things well. There are good labs and hands on. So faculty explains the concepts and they help you with hands on excercies. For computer releated courses, you have to create a big project and submit it at the end of the 4th year. Faculty helps you with any technical problems you may encouter.

College has a great campus and life there is very good. I enjoyed my time in college hostels, games etc. Gender ratio is also good and diverse. There are inter college tech festivals where so many events are organized, robotics and many other tech events are part of that 3 days inter college tech fest.

120+ companies are arrived and Average placement around 8 lack, 100% placement promise. I got placement offer in Accenture got 3.5 CTC , I got placement offer in Proptiger got offer 10 CTC and then I got placement offer 15 CTC, 75% student got multiple job opportunity.

I cleared IIT JEE , AIEEE, among Top 1% in IIT and Top 10% in AIEEE score. My love to work with new technology learning and applying, this is the best branch which can fullfill my dreams.

Information Technology in Bachelor of Engineering is the one of the best courses for those want to make their life. They support for research in the projects and also financial support. The college conducts different workshops and make the awareness to all the students. Many students show lot of enthusiasm to participate in the workshops not only in the campus and also outside of the campus will be permitted there are many notice bords if any other college people want to make publicity.

There are very good faculty members are there in the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology. but not all. mostly total faculty is very good. we can get the subject knowledge easily with them. they convey the subject to students easily and the students can remember the subject long time. even i have the favorite teacher in the college. She taught the subject very well and i got the marks very well in the Externals.

Exam was with semester pastern and having 42-43 subjects they covered during 4 years of engineering.Practice based subjects are also there which where not considered in that 42-43.preparation leave was 1 month approx before each semester and 100 Marks theory exam paper for 5/6 subjects for each sem and 25 Marks practice for selective 3-4 subjects and 25 Marks for distribution of internal exams+attendants +Practicals+e assay.

There were full of extracurricular, labs, sports, competitions such as robotics, debates etc such activities during each academic year and they were very well managed and very interesting.All extra curriculum are there.2-3 times college got state level prizes and most of the times individuals also got national and state level prizes.

The exams are divided into 3 parts. T1, T2 and SEE( Semester End Exam). T1 and T2 combined have 50 % weightage and the rest half is for SEE. A person needs to score atleast 33% in the final SEE irrespective of the total score he attains at the end of the semester. All in all it is a rigorous process to ensure that the student understands and learns everything. An important point to note is that, there is no OPTIONAL chapters unlike other colleges.

It is actually good, there are electives ranging from Machine Learning, AI(Artificial Intelligence), big data to NLP (Natural Language Processing). The professors are very respected and knowledgeable, they want the students to succeed. Recently PISAT was launched into space with collaboration of ISRO. It is a huge achievement for the students of PESIT.

Faculty of this college for Civil engineering are good (most of them), and few have also attained Phd. The courses are pretty fine when compared to other Anna university colleges. And students have a lot of opportunities to send papers, as they have a lot of free time when compared to other colleges. More than college, it's the student's responsibility to lift their stature and work related to it. Curriculum are of Anna university and the semester exams are also conducted by them.

It is feel free campus with pleasant environment other than mechanical Tamizh and English medium departments ,all other departments are dominated by girls in the ratio no student parties are there, College has a strength of about 1000 students lab facilities are good and there are no discrimination based on religion, race or ethnicity. Workshops, Symposiums and cultural programs are conducted every year. Only few number of sports are practised and not many students are encouraged.

I'm Studying in the department of information technology, in my department most of the faculties are student friendly and support us in various ways gent staffs are quiet friendly where as you cant expect the same from ladies staff's only a few are egoistic and sees partiality in providing marks for the students. Internal politics and ego problems ,all occurs in between the staffs.

Most of the company who came to our college was related to IT & software companies like TCS wipro etc. Most of these companies offered annul pay of rs 2.5 lac. Some shipping companies like angloeastern also offered job for about 20 candidate, but they have to give 1.5 lac for 2 year shipping course.

I think the course must me more technical oriented with lot of workshop training and in-plant training. But what it right now has is good enough with workshops like machinetools, automobile workshops etc. it would be better if the course offers more in-plant training each year.

The course and curriculum is heavy ,a person directly after plus two will find difficult but if you have patience it is ok curriculum is the mix up of ayurveda and allopathy both you have to study simultaneously.if you have sanskrit knowledge it is helpful or you may get into trouble the persons having ayurveda backgroud are ideal for this course.

The events are less because of professional course strategy, the college day, union day arts day, sports day are celebrated yearly once also onam , eid etc are also celebrated hospital day is also celebrated once in a year the other celebrations are less also some times arts festivals are conducted during convocations.

laboratories deserve a special mentioning for state-of-the-art equipments and interiors have been provided to students with an intention to enable practical learning to be in sync with the industry practices. It is very good course to focus on research and further studies as it covers most of the basic in software engineering. This Course helps us to learn complete software engineering basic and as it involves the some interfacing subsets it helps to learn how software is useful in other industires.

The Faculty was great we had a number of professors who were well read and quite knowledgeable in their fields. As for the gender ratio is concern that is almost the same for both boys and girls. Yes you find girls to be more in number than any other institute. there is no such diversity in terms of gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation. Yes you have to have aware of what going on in your college to be part of each and every events that take place time to time many meaningful workshops and competitions are conducted to enhance the talent of the students and praising them a lot.

This college started some initiatives to provide internship in the area of our own interest. They give lot of importance for this because they know this will sharp our concepts and through this we can get to know how to apply them in the real world. They call many core companies and through interview to get the opportunity to get internship there is no any particular stipend, it depend on the companies. The overall experience was outstanding.

Electrical subjects are very tough to clear, buts since we had a highly skilled teachers clearing the subjects was possible. All the HOD's were very strict and caring. We had separate teachers for every different subject this is very well disciplined and good cultured college.

All the staff are highly skilled and highly qualified and highly professional teachers. All the staff has a very good skill set especially the HOD's are highly talented and have good management skills i am thankful to all my lecturers, and head of the departments.

Campus life was very good and memorable. I was staying in a pg but most of the time I went to the tea garden for chill out and it was located within our college campus area. There was also a bank and post office within the campus ground. There was cricket ground (named as OVAL), football ground basket ball court. But as per Gender ratios it was bad on that time. Because the main problem is this college is located far from Kolkata.

For good remarks is no one can go without any memorable days or situations from here. The location and nature is extremely good for studies but the main problem is this college is located far from Kolkata. Infrastructure and management need to upgrade. They should use free lands which are unused within the campus. N.B. Good college, good area, good weather and excellent natural view, Big campus ground, Seenic Tea garden.

Campus life is good with a lot of refreshment all around. It is a good education campus extracurricular like sport competition, robotics, debates are very good in colleges, these events are co-organized by college management and students as long as gender ratio is concerned it is good as compared to other engineering colleges and it is around 2:1 . Workshops are organized every month and it is compulsory for the students to attend these students are also mandatory to follow rules and have tolerance with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion. There is also art of living sessions by senior students given to junior students.

My stream was Computer Science and Engineering. That course is very good in terms of career perspective. WBUT gave us a contentious coarse structure. AIEMD provided us complete infrastructure to gain the full in depth knowledge on that particular coarse. During out last semester we prepared the project after doing a lot of research. Our highly experienced faculty always motivated us to enhance our Research & Development enthusiasm. Thus we developed a lot of good stuff.

As you know, in computer dept. gender ration is always approximately same. But in mechanical dept. girls count is very less. So it varies as per the departments. There is ragging in my college strict actions are taken if someone is found guilty of ragging activities. Extracurricular activities like annual functions is always celebrated with great enthusiasm. Every year there is a sports week in month of January-February. Robotics, debate etc. are among the events which are held during annual technical festivals. Overall we used to enjoy and learn from every events held in our college.

When I passed out, we were the first passing batch of this college. So we did not have placement in our college. Only Mechanical Department got a company coming in the college, which offered the job to students as a trainee engineer with a salary of Rs. 6000/- per month. After we passed out we started looking for jobs in our fields, sooner and later every one in our batch got placed.
