JU is known to be the hub of the most talented students. Campus life is a ten on ten when it comes to JU. Starting from the graffiti on the walls from the green lush of the green Zones. From the staircases of Worldview to the Cold Coffee at Staff canteen. It is fun to eve walk around and enjoy everybody around. The students are not majorly from the state itself, but also far and wide from the North-East to the South! It is diverse and yet so unified. Every department comes up with very creative extra curriculars. Each and every month has alteast three to four events already packed up. Apart from these, there are various clubs like the Drama Club, Music Club and the Photography Club which is open to all. They are the most active participators when it comes to fests and other competitions.
In ISC I had scored a very okay-ish 83%which was not at all taken into consideration when you are taking the admission test for Comparative Literature in Jadavpur University. For the entrance I had scored a 78 out of 100. I did choose Jadavpur University because, well,it has always been the kind of college I would identify myself with. There is art and music all around. It is the most liberal places you can be at. Adding to that,Comparative Literature is such a course that is not easily available in other universities. Jadavpur Universityis among the few who provides it with the most elite faculty. It ranks amiong the top 5 colleges proving a course in Comparative Literature at the undergraduate level.
I took the entrance exam which Jamia conducts for the course M.A. (HRM). The scores are not shared with the candidates. Rather there are limited no. of seats (20) which is further divided quota wise (General, Jamia Internal, women reservation, OBC, SC/ST, etc). Luckily I was able to crack the entrance in general quota.
Yes there are various types of scholarship offered based on income, reservation, merit, etc. Luckily I was a topper throughout and I use to get yearly scholarship. Plus the college fee is a minimal amount. For such a professional course M.A. (HRM) the fee at my time in 2009-2011 was approx. 6500 INR per year.
Regarding placement one should not worry as each and every student if capable is able to get more than one offer. I myself got placed in Cognzant. Companies like delloite, infosys, ariecent, wipro, amazon, Ericsson, Mindtree, HCL, TCS and many more come every year.
The fees structure is feasible as compared to other colleges. The fees is around 2.5 Lacs annually which also includes hostel, mess, laundry fees. The fees is deposited in two shifts in each at the starting ofcthe semester.
The Ultra Mega 1.8 k hostel commonly known as Butterfly Hostel becuase of its design is one of the biggest hostels standing 10 floor height with fully furnished rooms and elevators which are continuously operated and maintained. Apart from this there is Mega hostel 1K and DASA hostel for international students studying in the institute and also brand new hostels separately for girls like priyafarshini hostel and others like old hostels. Coming to food there are Ganga,Narmada and kauveri messes for the students and are run by government. There are also Institute food courts IFC A and IFC B which have capacities to provide food for more than 1000 students. Quality of food served is also very good here in all the messes.
Overall this institute is a perfect place to develop good technical, communication and also managerial skills for the students and also it provides a very good platform to land into various companies with high packages and to excel ourselves and also to feel responsible for the growth of a developing country like India. It provides a perfect environment to build the career in the way we want and college management is also very supportive to the students and through innovation centre they will also provide good amount of financial support to the students who are coming up with some innovative ideas to begin a startup or so.
Faculty is average. Make a way to good faculty , who is having more exposure to teach the subjects with the more fluent way(not in read and go).
Two of the companies visited, But nothing is benefited for the students. useless to call it as a PLACEMENT.

Alcheringa is the annual festival of ITM and is shortened to Alcher for brevity. This yearメs event has the theme of ムMagnum Opusメ. The fest has some great events lined up in dance, fine arts, sports, quiz and digital tech. Special events include a blood donation camp called Drops of Hope and a social initiative called Udaan. These guys also hold city wise auditions for other college students to participate.
Gender inequality is the norm in ITM. Girls are regularly and constantly discriminated against in all aspects of college life from hostel curfews to excursions outside campus and on and on it goes.ᅠGirls have an extremely restrictive and policed environment which does not teach them any independence at all. It only makesᅠthem more and more dependent on the system for each and every need that they have.

Its too worse, no one supported to do my internship in their institution they wont give chance, as well the time period even too short to do my internship finally i copied from some secondary sources and submitted, internship these all things are only for course completion and secure the marks otherwise its useless.

As i had opted for B.Com(h) so it was vast as one could too expect from an honours program. The course was well structured trying to cover various expects of commerce field. The program provides variors specializations to choose from in the final year out of which a student needs to pick 2. Each specialization got two subjects to study.
I got admission based on my 12th class best 4 including english perecentage as at that time there used to be no entrance exam for admission into B.Com(h) program. I had 87% in aggregate in best four. I opted for this college as it was near to my house and got impressed by the arrangements and ambience of the place.
Nice as compare to other private institute.Training and placement officer are very talented, he really help the student in placements.
There are many companies visit to my college like TCS, MAHINDRA, GDCL ,HCL, HDFC BANK, HP, IFB ,IFFetc.
No written exam. Candidates needs to have at least a working experience of 18 months for getting shortlisted. Then the candidates goes through a rigorous screening process which includes group discussion, technical interview, and personal interview. The final list of shortlisted students are then given the admission offer. The batch size varies from 15 to 25(max) each year depending upon the quality of the appearing candidates. I opted for this course because it is very rigorously designed and in no way inferior to the regular MBA course. In fact, after 4 months of joining we become placement ready and sit in the placement process with the regular MBA batch.
The curriculum is very rigorously designed. The course has been divided into two semesters and the first semester subjects (16 in total) makes you at par with the regular MBA batch. There are internal and external exams in each semester. After the completion of the two semesters students are required to go through a 3 months internship. The college helps in providing internship opportunities and in many cases these internships are later converted into full time job offers. Placements are also provided by the college.

No training was given by college for entrance exams there are so many govt. Job opportunities for EEE candidates, that's why I choose this course.
Many companies have to come to the college to recruit management should focus on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge.

The internship is quite good and a lot of companies come over here to provide internships and jobs for the students. From the past the companies visited here are Infosis, Wipro, Microsoft, Hyundai, Toyota .
Fees is quite inexpinsible. With a lot of support our college collects a fees of 52,700/- per annum which is equal to 2,10,800. And we get a government concession of 35,000/- per annum.
