    M.Tech Manufacturing Engineering is a postgraduate course which introduces students with all the aspects of manufacturing. It is a 2 year course and is divided in 4 semesters. The basic eligibility for admission to the course is a minimum of 60% in B.E/ in Mechanical/production/industrial/automobile/manufacturing/metallurgical engineering.

    Eligibility Of the Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Manufacturing Engineering)

    The eligibility for admission to Manufacturing Engineering is a pass with minimum 60% in B.E/ in ANY ONE of the following fields:

    How to Get Admission in Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Manufacturing Engineering)

    Admission to Manufacturing Engineering is done on the basis of the scores in the graduation in the above mentioned fields and on the basis of entrance exams.

    Entrance Examination

    The entrance exams conducted for the admission to the course are:

    • TANCET- Conducted by Anna University for admission in M.Tech. colleges in Tamil Nadu.
    • GATE- Conducted by IITs and IISc. GATE scores are most widely used for admisisons in postgraduate engineering programs.

    However, colleges such as Indian Institute of  Technology  conducts it’s own entrance test- GATE for admission to the program and Manipal Institute of Technology conducts – MU-OET and considers 50% of the scores.

    BSAUEEE form is issued in the month of January, PGCET in June, TANCET in the month of April and the forms of VMUEE commences from the 3rd week of December. However, GATE and MU-OET are online entrance tests, and forms available in the month of September and October respectively.
