Movement is an important characteristic of all living organisms. From the minute protoplasmic movement in a cell and the unicellular organisms to the movement of organs in the multicellular organisms, movement account for various vital functions in the living organisms. Locomotion can be defined as the movement which can lead to a change in a place. There are basically three types of movements in a cell and organs and these are:
