While preparing, candidates must stick to VITEEE syllabus. By and large, it consists of the syllabus of class 11th and 12th. Candidates must divide the whole syllabus into feasible sections and make sure each section is not overflowing. All the sections must be focused and planned weekly on a daily basis. The following are some helpful tips by the candidates who appeared in VITEEE:
Vinay Soni cracked VITEEE with a percentile score of 98. Vinay suggests focussing on NCERT textbooks in detail. He also advises solving all the questions given at the back of every chapter of NCERT books. For mathematics, Vinay suggests solving EAMCET. When asked about the study materials, Vinay says, “Just follow the NCERT textbooks first and then other reference books and you will surely make it.” Throughout the conversation, Vinay focused his attention on the importance of the role of NCERT books in his preparation.
Sanket R cleared VITEEE with 94 percentile. He says, “Practising with a focused mind can make your weak areas just as the strong ones. So, practice hard to get selected in your dream institute”. Sanket advises all future applicants to never mug-up anything but understands the logic. Sanket also says that one should always focus on his/her weak sections. Sanket used to solve 5 papers a week at the time of VITEEE preparation.
Sandeep Kumar Dundigalla appeared for VITEEE and scored 103 marks. Sandeep says that speed plays a major role in the exam. He also advised not to spend too much time if stuck on any question. He advises going through the VITEEE syllabus first before beginning with the preparation.
Rohan cracked VITEEE and secured 2801 rank. Rohan advises to always achieve your daily target. You have to outdo more and more candidates on a daily basis. Rohan suggests giving equal efforts since day one till the exam ends. He also suggests that one must not think that the fight has ended till the exam gets over. Rohan says,” Target the difficult parts of the syllabus first and prepare them along with concise, crisp, easy to- look up notes.”
Abhay Garg cracked VITEEE with 86 percentile score. Abhay says, “Solve more and more questions along with solutions of the wrong marked questions”. Abhay suggests, the only thing to have first is confidence. Attempt questions and you will gain confidence eventually.
Ques. What topics should one focus on for Physics?
Ans. Some of the important topics under Physics are the following:
Electrostatics, Effects of Electric Current, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction, and semiconductor devices

Ques. Whose entrance exam is the toughest, SRM, VIT or Manipal?
Ans. All 3 entrance exams have different marking schemes, no. of questions, syllabus and time limit. It may differ from person to person but according to general consensus the verdict is that the difficulty of exams follows this order VIT > Manipal > SRM. They are usually all considered easier than other entrances like BITS and JEE Main. All three exams have a “no negative marking” system. SRM JEE updated their system in 2018.
It is important to thoroughly revise old question papers and prepare the Chemisty, Maths/Biology, and Physics topics well. For those individuals who are weak in English, it can be a pivotal point of your paper, so you must also spend a portion of your time practicing those topics.
