    VITEEE 2020 has been postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak till further notice. Now aspirants have some extra time in hand to prepare for the exam. You can use this time productively and can come up with a best preparation plan. 

    VIT University aims to assess candidates on the basis of speed, time-management, and decision-making power, besides their academic knowledge.     VITEEE is a national level entrance examination for engineering aspirants conducted by the prestigious Vellore Institute of Technology. Every year more than 2 Lakh candidates appear for the exam. Preparation is essential to score high in the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam.

    VITEEE 2020 is one of the most prominent entrance tests in the country.

    • The duration of VITEEE 2020 is 2 hours 30 minutes.
    • It is generally conducted in three sessions per day.
    • The medium of the exam is English. 
    • There are a total of 5 sections in the test – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology, Aptitude, and English.
    • Candidates have to attempt PCBA + English or PCMA + English on the basis of the subject they have applied for. 
    • There is no negative marking for incorrect responses.

    Clearing VITEEE 2020 requires a thorough understanding of VITEEE Syllabus. Candidates must rule out basic tips and strategies for an easy VITEEE preparation. Here, we have some simple strategies and expert guidance for you to follow and ace the exam.

    Consistency over Intensity 

    Candidates applying for VITEEE must keep in mind that to be able to solve the questions in less time and with confidence should be the aim. Candidates should not only know all the tactics and tricks but should also be able to use them quickly and confidently. Regular practice and tests will help you be ready for the exam.

    Proper Analysis of the Exam

    Before starting with VITEEE preparation, a proper analysis of the exam must be done by the candidates viz. its sections, important topics, weight etc.. Also, the type of questions and the pattern of the exam must be noticed. Every section must be taken into account and analyzed deeply.     Stick to VITEEE 2020 Syllabus

    While preparing, candidates must stick to VITEEE syllabus. By and large, it consists of the syllabus of class 11th and 12th. Candidates must divide the whole syllabus into feasible sections and make sure each section is not overflowing. All the sections must be focused and planned weekly on a daily basis.     • As per the candidates who appeared for the examination in 2019,the maximum weightage that is 60% was given to the 12th standard syllabus.
    • In the Physics section, the paper focused mainly on Mechanics, Electrodynamics and Modern Physics.
    • In the Chemistry section, most of the questions were from Physical Chemistry and very few questions were from Inorganic Chemistry.
    • In the Mathematics section, the focus was given to Coordinate Geometry and Calculus based questions
    • Most of the questions for English were from the NCERT textbook of the 12th standard.

    The following are some helpful tips by the candidates who appeared in VITEEE:

    • Vinay Soni says, “The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary but success doesn’t come until you work for it”, says Vinay

    Vinay Soni cracked VITEEE with a percentile score of 98. Vinay suggests focussing on NCERT textbooks in detail. He also advises solving all the questions given at the back of every chapter of NCERT books. For mathematics, Vinay suggests solving EAMCET. When asked about the study materials, Vinay says, “Just follow the NCERT textbooks first and then other reference books and you will surely make it.” Throughout the conversation, Vinay focused his attention on the importance of the role of NCERT books in his preparation.

    • Sanket R says, “The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus”.

    Sanket R cleared VITEEE with 94 percentile. He says, “Practising with a focused mind can make your weak areas just as the strong ones. So, practice hard to get selected in your dream institute”. Sanket advises all future applicants to never mug-up anything but understands the logic. Sanket also says that one should always focus on his/her weak sections. Sanket used to solve 5 papers a week at the time of VITEEE preparation.

    • “Motivation is what gets you started, habit is what keeps you going”, says Sandeep

    Sandeep Kumar Dundigalla appeared for VITEEE and scored 103 marks. Sandeep says that speed plays a major role in the exam. He also advised not to spend too much time if stuck on any question. He advises going through the VITEEE syllabus first before beginning with the preparation. 

    • Rohan says, “If you genuinely want something, don’t wait for it- teach yourself to be impatient”.

    Rohan cracked VITEEE and secured 2801 rank. Rohan advises to always achieve your daily target. You have to outdo more and more candidates on a daily basis. Rohan suggests giving equal efforts since day one till the exam ends. He also suggests that one must not think that the fight has ended till the exam gets over. Rohan says,” Target the difficult parts of the syllabus first and prepare them along with concise, crisp, easy to- look up notes.”

    • Abhay Garg says, “Though no one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.”

    Abhay Garg cracked VITEEE with 86 percentile score. Abhay says, “Solve more and more questions along with solutions of the wrong marked questions”. Abhay suggests, the only thing to have first is confidence. Attempt questions and you will gain confidence eventually.
