The best thing about BITS is the zero attendance policy.

College focus equally on academics and industry training. College helped me preparing for on campus placement. College provided us with two internship in great companies to get industry experience and training. There are many course at Birla Institute of Technology and Science that help us prepare for placement such as Data Structure and Algorithms, Database Management System, Object Oriented programming, Operating System, Computer Networks, Compiler Construction.

We have a cultural fest named Oasis it is held every year, it is the second biggest cultural fest in India. We have a technical fest name Apogee, It brings many industry leaders to give talks on the latest technologies used in industry, and host many challenges such as robo wars and hackathons. We have a sports fest names BOSM it attracts students from all over country to take part.

The program fees is around 1. 5 lakh rupees per semester and and around 10 thousand rupees per semester for the hostel service and around 12 thousand rupees per semester for the mess service. Additional charges are as follows One time payment of 6 thousand rupees for the placement drive. One time payment of 45 thousand rupees for the internship program.

Yes college provide many type of scholarship such as Merit Scholarship - In this scholarship any one can take part and based on the academic performance, top 1% students gets 100% scholarship, top 2% students get 40% scholarship. Merit cum need - In this scholarship on the students whose parents combined income is less that 8 lakh rupees per annum can take part.

The gender ratio is not really great at BITS. There is 10:1 boys:girls ratio here. There many parties happening here such as freshers party, valentine night etc. Many workshops are held all over the year, some are organised by the student bodies and some are organised by the institution. There are lots of cultural societies present in BITS, the is one society for each states which perform regular events that depicts there states cultural. The campus is really tolerant regarding the gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics, economic status.

Yes, I have opted for hostel service. The rooms are really great. We get double sharing rooms for first and second year and after that for the third and fourth year we get single rooms. Rent of the hostel is 10 thousand rupees per semester. The hostel are kept clean and are desinfected on a daily basis.

One on thing about BITS is its senior, they are always there to help you in the best way possible. BITS has best alumni network, you can reach out to anyone and they will be there to help you out.

I always had a passion for coding so I decided to take computer science as my major. A choose BITS Pilani because it's one of best institute in India, it has zero attendance policy, has great alumni base. There is an exam named BITSAT with the only way to get admission in BITS.

We have around 40 lecturer in Computer Science department. Average age is between 35 to 40. Every one atleast have a masters and every senior lecturer has a PHD. Each and every lecturer is an expert in their field. Many has extensive industry experience, and connection. Many have published article and papers in major journals, which are used in the industries extensively.
