Remarks

I chose this college NIT Kurukshetra because I was getting Information Technology branch here and the placement of this branch is very high and good here. I like the infrastructure of the college very much.

Course Curriculum Overview

For Information Technology the curriculum is updated and arranged properly. We have eight semesters in four years to complete the entire course. Additionally in first year we have mandatory sports and yoga class once in a week. The faculty and professors of the Institutions are Highly educated and very brilliant in their respective subjects.

Course Fees: INR 62500 per year

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement for CSE and IT branch is really out of expression. It was hundred percent last year with the highest package being 40 lakh per annum. Major recruiting companies visiting the campus are Facebook, Airtel, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, PSUs, Swiggy Flipkart, Samsung and others. The placement cell is active every time. The alumni have shown their extraordinary talent across the country and are nice.

College Events

4.5

The campus life is good except some days before the examination. We enjoy and learn every moment here. Techspardha, Confluence, Utkarsh, Independence day, Convocation, Republic day, Gandhi Jayanti etc are some other events celebrated here. They are really vast fest celebrated in college.

Campus Life

The campus covers 193 acres of land in are. It has separate hostels for boys and girls, library, auditorium, Hospital, sports complex, laboratories, guests room, cafeteria, gymnasium, swimming pool, bank and atm. There is wifi available in campus as well as in hostel rooms provided by the NIT.

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

NIT KURUKSHETRA: An Honest Review

The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges. There is state reservation of 50% in all NIT's. Admission Process:- JOSAA counselling:-Students list their prefernces based on JEE rank, and seats are allocated accordingly. Document verification:-Required documents include JEE scorecard, class 10/12th marksheet and income certificate for fee waivers. Pay intial fees and confirm your seat....Read More
