Remarks

Considered one of the top colleges of Delhi University, it is situated on the North campus of the university. Delhi University is the hub of Art along with education, and Ramjas is one of the best choices 1 can make in the university. Surrounded by Hansraj, KiroriMal, Hindu, Daulat Ram and Miranda, it lies just exactly at the centre of the North campus. Apart from studies, the college provides the best environment and opportunities to youth for pursuing their career in different fields like singing, dancing, modelling, acting, politics, etc. Admission is done on the basis of merit for majority courses, with some courses having their entrance exam. Students can also get admission through ECA (extracurricular activities) quota.. the admission form usually releases in Jan with the last date of form submission being the end of March. Cut offs are released in may-June. College is preferred because of its flexible time table which allows students to pursue their dream, ut of the boring bookish world.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Physical science is a course that offers a variety of courses that a student can pursue, for their Masters. Comprising of Physics, Maths and Chem or Electronics, this is a great course for students who love physics and maths equally and can't choose one over the other. Also, students who are still uncertain that which subject they want to pursue in real can get it as a good escape as the course offers 3 different subjects under one umbrella. Faculty:Student ratio is good with one teacher available for around 20 students. The faculty are well trained most of them having done their Doctors from the Delhi University itself. Quality of teaching is equally good for a studios guy who can pay attention in the class. Exams happen twice a year (in Dec and May) as semester-end exams and internal exams happen in between with flexible dates depending on the understanding of the teacher-student. Exams are not so difficult to pass. An average guy in studies can pass it with very good marks.

Placement Experience

4

Students get eligible to sit into the placement only after the 5th semester. Not many companies come to hire science students for jobs. Hence, most students go for further studies in their respective fields. Most of the campus students have plans of sitting in competitive exams or at least to appear into it. My plan is to pursue UPSC preparation after the course and have already started doing that. Due to the flexibility in the time table, a campus is a good place for students who want to study for competitive exams alongside B.Sc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the whole is around 14-15 thousand which includes tuition fee, lab fee, library fee, students union fee, etc. The exam fee (around 1k rupees) has to be submitted twice a year for each semester. There are numerous scholarship schemes that a student can avail of, being in Delhi university. The centre recognises the university students very well and hence helps with financial assistance to poor students through different schemes. Recently, I bagged 20k rupees as financial help from st. Stephen students for buying the device, students in Corona times. In campus, Placements are not so good because there are limited companies which offers job to a bachelor degree. Most students pursue their masters, and a good bunch of them try their best in different competitive exams.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is full of colours because of the presence of students from all over India who brings with them an aroma of varieties of culture and knowledge. The students at the campus are very talented, each one having their own skills. The campus is full of artists, be it singing, dancing, drawing, Modelling-Acting, photography and writers. National level players of different games are also present all over the university. The reason for all this is that the university embraces all forms of art and provide a suitable environment for it to flourish. The college has clubs for Creative Writing, Debating, photography, singing, Dancing, modelling etc.

The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
