Remarks

Every year the management is just getting better and better it is introducing many new events and bringing new opportunities and exposure to students. I am definitely sure they will keep pushing and doing the same in future.

Entrance Preview

BITSAT One of best in the country. BITS has a culture of technology, startups, events, tech fests, good crowd.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It is defiantly one of the best in country but only a few students at BITS are into research these days most are into startups and technical jobs and MBAs. But no doubt the labs and faculty are very good and every year good paper publications do happen.

Internships Opportunities

We have Practice School option, where we work for an organization for around 6 months. We get paid well. Around 30k-40k per month if we are working in product dev or Analytics side or any startups or even established firms.

Placement Experience

4.5

They are really good we have many broad opportunities. Placements cover many top product and service companies such as Amazon, goole, FB, Microsoft, and many new start ups such as Paytm, OLA, Arya Robotics etc, We can join starups that are founded by x-BITSians. Job opportunities are plenty provided one is good in coding, concepts, analytical thinking and communication.

College Events

4.5

Many hacker coding fests, bug detecting, gaming events startup events. Cultural fests include dancing, drama, musical band fests etc. Famous people performing and sharing their art , knowledge happens here. One can get a broader exposure into many areas.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is defiantly not affordable by poor families but for the given infrastructure, events, opportunities, faculty, fests, labs etc the fee is comparably just fine. But the experience and lessons it teaches you will be defiantly good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes Scholarships are given to students based on their academic performance. 10 pointers would get 100% scholarship, 9 pointers would get 50% scholarship and 8 pointers would get 20% scholarship in tuition fee only. (not for hostel fee).

Campus Life

4

Campus is very nice. very Well maintained. Have got all basic facilities gender ratio over all is fine , around 60:40 Male:Female for compute science branch. For civil and mechanical ratio is more skewed towards male side we have got one of best Labs in the country we have options for many sports such as cricket, tennis, volley ball, badminton, boxing etc. And the coaches were fine enough. Competitions were many and may happening. In many areas and one would get exposure to them and can participate an. have fun.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I would rate 8/10 for hostel rooms we had single rooms and double sharing as well. The food is good as well. Mostly north Indian style. Quality was good. Not too many varieties though. We do have south Indian breakfast and lunch as well for food my personal rating would be 7/10.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is defiantly great the network is very active and helps us in meeting opportunities and making new ideas come into action etc.

Exam Structure

We have closed book , open book, surprise quizzes and a final exam(closed book again) this makes sure that the concepts are covered and tested periodically. Open book tests the application point of view and concept understanding rather than memory power. At times the exams would be stressful because of too many subjects and too much syllabus covered in a short time. But in general that is same anywhere and we should learn to cope up with stress and time management.

Faculty

4

We can correspond via mails or even have face to face interaction. I particularly was interested in DS & Algo concepts. The faculty here is very well qualified who are phds from ivy leaue universities an have done lot of research and innovation and publications. Definitely one of the best in the country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is well structured and designed for students to learn the subject in detail and to know about topics in detail and make sure to understand things clearly before implementing them in real life. There are certain areas for improvement but they will keep get better. Timetable should be made such that students get break in between the classes so that they can be less exhausted throughout the day

Obviously there is a campussing process that gives the students the opportunity to get their desired job. You can also go off campus to get bigger opportunity, but it will be on your head only that means it's a risk. But the average placement provided by the university is 6 lakhs and the highest one is 72 lakhs per annum.
