NIT kurukshetra at a glance

For to take admission I'm NIT Kurukshetra you have to give jee mains exam conducted by NTA nowadays and your rank should be good enough as NIT Kurukshetra is one of the top NITs in India. Nowadays NTA takes jee mains 4 times in a year as far as I know so it's better to give an exam all 4 times.

I had chosen this course because I had an interest in tall buildings, skyscrapers, bridges, monuments etc. Faculty student ratio is normal not more not less. The faculty of the civil engineering department are highly educated. As I'm the student should not comment them but yeah all Faculty are very excellent. The exam is moderate level and one more thing even in the pandemic NIT Kurukshetra have taken the exam on time even if they are online.

Internships are compulsory for every student in their 6th semester. So similar to placement stats internship varies similar to them a lot of software companies come for interns and also offers a good stipend. Whereas students of the core like civil Engg. Students get interned in various government departments like NHAI, CPWD, Delhi Jal board etc.

Campus placement are different if you are a core student or you are an IT student. As there are a lot of software companies that come every year for the placement, also the MNCs like Microsoft, Amazon etc. But in comparison to that, there are fewer core companies that come for placement. The percentage of students getting placed is around 90% for the software companies whereas it's a very less percentage for core companies placement. So students of core branches start to prepare for UPSC, gate,ies etc as per their interest.

Fees are high but after all, it's a national level engineering college. So yeah considerably accepted. But likewise, there are a lot of scholarships as if your family income is below 1 lakh your tuition fees will not be charged, and if your family income is between 1 to 5 lakh your tuition fees will be charged 1/3 only. And there are more scholarships like some scholarships offered by the state and scholarships offered by alumni of NIT Kurukshetra.

Life at NIT Kurukshetra is just living within the campus as it's not a big city. The annual fest that NIT Kurukshetra have are Confluence which is an annual cultural fest, techspardha which is an annual technical fest. The library is pretty awesome there are a lot of books are there which covers every type of genre of book you want to. And talking about the classroom we got smart boards , projectors etc. Sports are very much appreciated and played in NIT Kurukshetra. Teams of different sports go on inter NIT sports held every year in different NITS, and NIT kurukshetra performs very well in them. There are a lot of cultural as well as technical clubs are in the college, which you can choose as per your interests.

Hostel given in the first year for boys are very old and three seater but after that from 2nd year onward we get single hostel room that is nice and well. There is a mess in every hostel and the menu is fixed for a week. And sports like badminton, volleyball we can play in hostels. Hostels are very much affordable.
