Remarks

Eligibility of JEE MAINS is you need to have secured at least 75% or equivalent in CBSE/State level examinations for 10+2 level of exam. You can find the application form on the josaa website which is the body that governs all the application processes as well as the admission process. There are Home Quotas for the colleges located in the same state as your school from where you passed out. There are other Caste benefits given in the form of relaxation in the cutoff for SC, ST, OBC students.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because I loved electromagnetics which is taught to us in the twelfth class. Being in the same branch is exciting. Faculty: student ratio is approx 1:18 for our branch. They have done PhD from reputed institutes and are well versed in the teaching world. Term exams are done at the scheduled time and a month of preparation before the exam week is enough to score decently.

Class Size: 54Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Google offered internships under various courses last year to the students it selected after a rigorous selection process. Samsung, this year has selected one senior from the ECE branch with a stipend of 70,000 per month.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements are decent. students become eligible for placements after the 5th semester. The quality and quantity of companies visiting the campus are handsome too with the likes of Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Mckinsey and others. Around 80 % of students from electrical engineering got placed last year. I personally prefer doing MBA after my Btech.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is provided to us in a very staggered manner on the college website. It is very diverse and variant. Depending on your financial conditions and which caste you are from, you'd be charged a specific amount. There are various scholarships which get sanctioned during the course which help different types of people.

Campus Life

I haven't experienced any fest yet because of covid regulations. But there is Techkriti and Confluence, our technical and cultural fest which are held at a very big scale and achieve decent footfall every year. The library has ample books to choose from. Sports facilities are also very good.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are quite good. Neat and clean bathrooms. Mess food is good enough. Registration process includes submitting the mess advance and completing the required registration process when you arrive. You'll be well assisted

Hostel Fee: INR 10000 per year

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

NIT KURUKSHETRA: An Honest Review

The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges. There is state reservation of 50% in all NIT's. Admission Process:- JOSAA counselling:-Students list their prefernces based on JEE rank, and seats are allocated accordingly. Document verification:-Required documents include JEE scorecard, class 10/12th marksheet and income certificate for fee waivers. Pay intial fees and confirm your seat....Read More
