If you have cleared JEE mains exam and your 10+2 percentage is at least 75%(for the gen category) then you can apply for this institute. The college is allowed through jossa counseling. The counseling begins after JEE Advanced. Documents required are your JEE scorecard, 12th mark sheet, 10th mark sheet, medical certificate, caste certificate (if required), JEE Admit card. You have to keep these documents in a pdf format.

I chose this department (mechanical) because the faculty members and infrastructure are very good. Professors really know how to teach complex mechanics in a beautiful way. Senior professors are Ph.D. graduates and assistant professors are MTech or PhD's. This institute conducts 3 major exams per semester i.e 2 mindsets and 1 endsem. Practical exams are also conducted accordingly. The difficult level of these exams is moderate to tough.

An internship is the form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. The students can opt for an internship, Industrial training, Project work in any industry, academic institute, R&D, PSU, Government, or semi-government organization. This caters students, the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and explore networks in professional fields they are considering for career paths, and gives employers the opportunity to guide and evaluate talent. This will not only help students in gaining professional know-how but also benefits, corporate on fresh perspectives on business issues and even discovering future business leaders.

A total of 415 students were placed out of 731 students during BTech placements 2021. The median and average salary recorded for all BTech specializations in 2021 were Rs 9 LPA and Rs 11.37 LPA, respectively in 2021. The salary package in the range of Rs 3.60 LPA to Rs 22 LPA was offered to the MTech batch of Schools of VLSI Design & Embedded System followed by the Mechanical batch (Rs 4.50 LPA to Rs 18 LPA) and ECE batch (Rs 4.10 to Rs 12 LPA).

The academic fee per semester is around 65k-70k for gen category students. Including the hostel and mess fee it becomes around 80k per sem. For Obc category students the academic fee is slightly reduced but the hostel+ mess fee remains constant for all students. For Sc/St category students academic fee is 0.

The annual fest of NIT KKR is Confluence.It is a 4-day long fest held at the end of February. There are technical fests called techspardha, techobyte, nitrox. There are many clubs like Fine arts, spicmacay, SUC, LSD, Bhangra club, SAE, aahwan, JAM, etc The sports complex is excellent for students. It has a gym, volleyball court, 4 lawn tennis courts, badminton courts, hockey ground, 400 m race track, football ground, and many more.

There are total of 16 hostels on campus. Out of them, fore hostels are for girls and rest of the hostels are for boys. These hostels have very good facilities of mess, common room with television, badminton courts, volleyball court.
