Remarks

The cutoffs of the different eligible colleges through JEE Mains are available on JOSSA website, from where you can find the best college in which you are eligible according to your rank. After that preferences of the courses and colleges are filled online on the website and the allotment process begins. At first you are assigned the college at the bottom of your list and you are given two options to freeze and float that college/ choice. Then as per the cutoff your college or branch gets updated in which region you fall. If you fall under any reservation category then you can check for reservation rank in the cutoff list. If you freeze any choice then you have to report to nearby NIT for document verification. The admission process was very smooth and the staff was also helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculy is very good and highly educated and the teaching methods opted are also very good. The term exams were conducted from time to time and are of moderate level. If you study regularly for 1-2 hours daily then you will not find any difficulty in clearing those exams.

Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Different companies ranging from startups to big giants visit colleges and offer a variety of stipends and also from the 2020 year you get an opportunity to apply for project internships at Siemens Centre of Excellence.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements of the college are good and you are eligible to apply for campus placements from the 7th semester. A lot of tech giants and startups visit college with good offers. The percentage of students getting placed for different branches is different.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total expenditure on my 4 years of college term was about 6-7 lacs and the labs and exposure to different things for this amount is totally worth it. I didn't receive any scholarships during my course and I got placed from campus placements.

Campus Life

The campus life is awesome and the books for the semester are issued by the library only and you do not need to purchase them. Sports ground and different courts infrastructure are really good and the clubs are a way of expanding your limits.

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are normal and not very good. You get 3 people sharing a room in first year and from 2 year onwards you get your single room. Meals on special occasions and on some days are really tasty and the registration process for hostel is done at the time of admission only and you are assigned hostel the same time.

Hostel Fee: INR 42000 per year

Other Applied Colleges

It was very far away from my home

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

NIT KURUKSHETRA: An Honest Review

The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges. There is state reservation of 50% in all NIT's. Admission Process:- JOSAA counselling:-Students list their prefernces based on JEE rank, and seats are allocated accordingly. Document verification:-Required documents include JEE scorecard, class 10/12th marksheet and income certificate for fee waivers. Pay intial fees and confirm your seat....Read More
