NIT Kurukshetra, B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering

Reviewed on Dec 9, 2021(Enrolled 2020)

Remarks

I join NIT Kurukshetra mechanical engineering course via JOSSA addmission counselling. My brother is also in nit Kurukshetra CSE branch. He refers to me nit Kurukshetra because he has a great experience at his college. I also read about nit Kurukshetra at quora. So I have 9561 OBC NCL rank and 37553 CRL rank. so I am very confident about joining nit.

Course Curriculum Overview

It has a great experience in NIT. I met all of my faculty they are excellent in education and has a great idea and method of teaching. Teachers are very good and their nature is so positive feedback and has a great method of teaching.

Class Size: 69Course Fees: INR 62500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee in NIT for BTech is 62500 but for the economical section 2/3 fee relax for whose income are 1 to 5 lacs. We have a huge relaxation in fee and our family also afford this college. And also give benefit to students alumni program and for students who give the best academic performance in the year with a scholarship.

Campus Life

Yaa college life is awesome. Many clubs are there in nit like photography ncc extra. Most of the students participate in this club. The library is also awesome all the books are available for 6 months. Sports clubs are there like kabaddi volleyball cricket race basketball badminton extra.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

In the BTech course, we have to take a college hostel. The room is quite good but there is the issue of the network in some areas. meal mess is not good. Most of the students order food online. And some of my friends eat biscuits and eat very little food. Hostel facilities are good. They take very fast action for any issue and also give good comfort room.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Interview Experience

No. Only online reporting happen. Which is a very long process. Many documents are have to verify in documents verification, officers are very rude. If any documents are absent then they do not check rest of the document.

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

NIT KURUKSHETRA: An Honest Review

The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges. There is state reservation of 50% in all NIT's. Admission Process:- JOSAA counselling:-Students list their prefernces based on JEE rank, and seats are allocated accordingly. Document verification:-Required documents include JEE scorecard, class 10/12th marksheet and income certificate for fee waivers. Pay intial fees and confirm your seat....Read More
