NIT Kurukshetra, B.Tech, Civil Engineering

Reviewed on Jan 28, 2022(Enrolled 2021)

Remarks

I am satisfied with the admission process and the environment provided by the College. NIT Kurukshetra provides us with good education, the best faculties of each department, better placements, and good internships. I am happy to be a part of nit Kurukshetra.

Course Curriculum Overview

In case I am in the first year and I have recently passed mid-term examinations of the first year in the online mode only. I didn't face that much difficulty to pass mid-semester exams and I studied regularly and completed my assignment on the regular basis I think by doing that much only you will never face any difficulty in the College examinations.

Class Size: 166Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are no such thoughts on my mind about the projects but yes side by side I am participating in many various activities which will improve my strategies and plans so that I can overcome all the difficulties in the future.

Placement Experience

My plans after BTech is to do national duty and serve my country in any possible way other than this I am not having any special plan after the BTech degree. One of the options can be that I can go for placements and be a good civil engineer for the country.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I am a first-year student from the nit Kurukshetra. I have never experienced the campuses jobs but side by side I was active in the direction of placements of seniors which makes me feel very fascinating that our college provided good placements and good internships in the year 2021.

Campus Life

There are many clubs which are run by the students of our college one of them is H Led in which the students try to spread our mother language Hindi and perform various activities in the field of the Hindi language such as poem recitation, Hindi geet, Hindi Shayari, Hindi quiz.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Our college provides hostels for both boys and girls on the College campus only . And all the hostel has very good facilities and infrastructure. The meals provided by the College hostel are fresh and healthy.

Hostel Fee: INR 8000 per year

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

NIT KURUKSHETRA: An Honest Review

The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges. There is state reservation of 50% in all NIT's. Admission Process:- JOSAA counselling:-Students list their prefernces based on JEE rank, and seats are allocated accordingly. Document verification:-Required documents include JEE scorecard, class 10/12th marksheet and income certificate for fee waivers. Pay intial fees and confirm your seat....Read More
