Remarks

For me, NITs are a very good option as what I feel after IITs. I have filled out the admission form online and after passing the JEE exam I took part in the JOSAA counselling and was able to manage to get a seat at NIT Kurukshetra. The admission process of the college was very smooth and very systematically organised in a proper manner. I was interested in the mechanical engineering program and was able to secure my seat for B.Tech in mechanical engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of our college is very nicely structured and very well designed. The curriculum is so nicely designed that the complex topics are covered in proper steps and systematically so that we are able to understand the basics properly. I was quite shocked by the faculty of our college as the faculty are highly trained and are masters in their respective subjects. The faculty are so understanding that they properly understand the problems and are eager to help and guides us to clear the confusion.

Internships Opportunities

The college has a very good internship program and I believe that all the NITs have such a good internship[ program. The college gives us a very good opportunity to work with a good company but we can only attend the internship program if we have crossed the bar of 80% class attendance.

Placement Experience

The NITs mark is perfectly depicted in the college as the placement of our college is very good and plus the college is visited by the top market leaders for the placement drives. The highest salary offer was around 40 LPA and the average salary offer was around 18 LPA which is very good. I also received a very good salary offer of 18 LPA from TATA. GAIL, Canara Robeco, Yamaha, JCB, Indian Oil, Airtel, ICICI Lombard, Reliance Communications, etc were the top recruiters of our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college is very affordable in comparison to many top technical colleges in India but still, our college also offers very good scholarships schemes like Merit-cum-Means scholarships are offered to UG, Alumni Association Scholarship, Post-metric Scholarship. The scholarships are provided on merit and financial status.

Campus Life

I have properly spent a very good time on the college campus. The campus is very clean and the cafeteria of the college is awesome the food and the seating arrangement is good we use to spend most of our time in the cafeteria after class is over. Our college also offers very good sports facilities as well like Badminton Court, Basketball Court, Cricket Ground, Football Ground, Tennis Court, Volleyball Court, Hockey Ground. I really had a very good academic experience during my tenure at the college.

Hostel Facilities

Our college offer really very good hostel facilities. The rooms are quite big and the rooms are available as triple and single sharing. The hostel food was really very good. The hostel is situated on the college campus which saves our time and gives us very easy access to the classrooms. Our hostel also has a common room with LCD TV and table tennis and carrom is also available. All in all, I can say that my stay in the college hostel was really very good.

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

The University provides when you opportunity for learning activities and over all development
Overall I have a positive experience and enjoy being a part of this college

The workload and class timings can be some time hectic

Placements are available for final year and June and students generally become eligible from the 7th semester companies from it software and management sectors visit the campus placements opportunity at Decent with package wearing according to company and student scale I plan to build a strong technical skills so internship and projects and aim for a good job in aml field after graduation

My Experience in JC Bose University

Likes

I like the claim and composed environment, no one shouting or making noise
Each buliding have lift which help reach higher floor easily
Having strong alumni association which help student get placement

Dislikes

I don't like the paper work delay during the admission after paperwork
Campus less crowded places are not maintained very well
Older buliding classes don't have ac in the classroom

Course Curriculum Overview:

In Electrical course we have many kind have course which design for solving various kind of problem in field , BSC ( Basic science course ) , ESC ( Engineering Science Course ) , DSC ( Disciplinary specialized Course ) , VAC ( Value Added Course ). Professors teaches with real life example and use 3D shape and animation to explain things easily.

Likes

The college is spread across 300 acres of lush green campus with a lot of greenery everywhere. The weather is also very pleasant
The infrastructure of the college is well maintained with proper department and parks . The labs are well equipped with the necessary equipment required for the practical knowledge of the student.
Sports facilities are also top notch in the college and also gym is provided in the sports ground.

Dislikes

In rainy season water stands in the hostels making it difficult to move in and out of the hostel.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate of the college is decent one with average package of about 12-14 LPA amd about 85% students are placed every year. Students can apply for placements after 2nd year and companies like JP Morgan , microsoft, Hero , ICICI Bank , etc. Visit the college

Genuine and Biased review

Likes

Wifi facility is available in hostels and in some classrooms
Teachers are quite good and they are very helpful

Dislikes

Placement are not good in dcrust one some some students get placed with maximum packed of 9 lakhs minimum 2.5 lakhs
Course curriculum is not updated they are not helpful in modern time.
Girls and boys ratio are not upto the mark.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Placement at college is average mostly 80% of students are placed in this college student is eligible for placement from the 7th semester. Companies like Airtel, Infosys, Wipro, and swiggy, mostly company visit here highest package in 2023 is approx. 28 LPA and the average package is 5-6 LPA.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

Don't join the college as they doesn't care about your career Faculty is bad and also doesn't have minimum experience and qualifications Teachers will change every semester or even teachers can leave the job in mid semester. If want a good career then don't go for it

This college is in tier 1 nits and also it has given many great alumni which are one of the main reasons to go for this college . The college applied by me were NIT jaipur and NIT Rourkela but as it was near to my home so I went for this only .In order to get admission in this college one has to sit in jossaa counselling and after seat allocation physical reporting is done and then you can join the hostel and work to build a better tomorrow...Read More

NIT KURUKSHETRA: An Honest Review

The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges. There is state reservation of 50% in all NIT's. Admission Process:- JOSAA counselling:-Students list their prefernces based on JEE rank, and seats are allocated accordingly.
