Remarks

To be eligible for this course, you would have to qualify JEE Mains with a good rank. The counselling for NIT Kurukshetra and other NITs is done through JOSAA and CSAB. I was very lucky to get a seat in NIT Kurukshetra through CSAB ( Bonus Round ) so I would also advice you to apply for CSAB.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have a deep interest in how things work and I'm very motivated to make my country a global manufacturing and technological hub. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:20 . Most teacher present in our college are well behaved and well qualified and follow an intutive teaching method. The exams are moderately difficult but can be passed by paying attention in class and revising daily.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 17500 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Some notable companies which came for interns in our college are goldman sachs, google, maruti, etc I was selected for internship in Siemens Center of Excellence. There I was allotted in metrology lab where we had to inspect the layout of an engineering component witht he help of CMM.

Placement Experience

4.5

The students are eligible for camplus placements from 7th semester onwards. Some of the companies visiting our college are nvidia, adobe, microsoft, ashok leyland, honda, hero, havells, amazon, airtel, idea, goldman sachs, samsung, etc

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees have been increased in various areas from 2022-2023. Hostel rent went from 5500 to 7000. Also, we were charged with room rent and mess bills during the pandemic. The overall cost is fairly reasonable in my opinion.

Campus Life

4.5

Confluence and Techsparda are the annual fest and tech fest conducted in NIT KKR. The library is filled to the brim with all the books you would need in your search for knowledge. The classroom is equipped with AC, projector, smartboard and good ventilation. Our college also has various types of sports facilities such as cricket, football, basketball, badminton, volleyball, kabaddi, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The room is spacious and has a balcony attached to it. Breakfast and lunch provided in the mess is very good but the dinner is equally terrible. The hostel will be allotted to you during your college registration. The price of hostel is deent given the facilities you are provided with.

Hostel Fee: INR 17500 per year

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

NIT KURUKSHETRA: An Honest Review

The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges. There is state reservation of 50% in all NIT's. Admission Process:- JOSAA counselling:-Students list their prefernces based on JEE rank, and seats are allocated accordingly. Document verification:-Required documents include JEE scorecard, class 10/12th marksheet and income certificate for fee waivers. Pay intial fees and confirm your seat....Read More
