Remarks

All the candidates who have cracked neet with rank above 5000 are eligible for the admission process but all do not get chance to get it. The application process is online now The application fees in available on official website of afmc pune There is also an internal screening and english eligibility test Reservation of all type like obc, sc, and st here also I am also from obc.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always wanted to serve in the Indian army as prestige, AFMC is one of the best opportunities to serve in the army that's why I opted for it. There were approx 25-35 teachers and main staff mentoring 150 students. The teachers of afmc are more disciplined than any other, they not only make you doctors but also make you a gentleman or gentlewoman. Their teaching methods are awesome. Exams are semester-wise and twice a year. The teaching method of college in such a way that you easily quality exams if you will follow the college method

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 52460 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of college is around 65000 per year. The admission fee is 2750 rs. Security deposit is 15000 ( refundable) Barrack damage is 350 rs every 6 months ie twice a year Cinema subscription (450) Computer club charges (800) Maintenance of common activities 1000 rs Swimming pool charges 300 rs Identity card 600 rs College record and documentation fees are 1100 rs Students handbook 600 rs College fee and deposit of 25000 at the time of admission

Campus Life

The library of afmc (Ashok Chakra Library) has 2 separate sections for undergraduates and post-graduates It has fully air-conditioned reading area open 24*7 open also has wifi facilities Afmc has a total of 19000 books, 22000 bound journals, 60 computers, 600 e-journals, 1200 CD/DVD, and 300 ebooks. The classrooms of afmc are fully air-conditioned with ppt presentation. Afmc has its own 6 lanes artificial surface athletics track, 2 km long jogging track along with running ground, an all weather basketball Court, badminton court, tennis court, 2 volleyball courts, 2 tennis court, 2 hockey grounds, 1 cricket ground and 25-meter long swimming pool There are a lot of groups like sports club, drama club., music club and a lot more

The campus is decent. There is turf for playing cricket football and all. Hostels rooms are good, well some of them are. Cleaning is done every alternate day by the cleaning staff that’s a good part
The college building is not the best but not the worst. Teaching is like every other college of you pay attention you can study in class else you are on your own. There is a library and 2 reading halls, one for discussion and one for individual read
Best thing about college would be the departments are really chill about the attendance. If you are low on it they’ll let you compensate. But do try to attend whenever you can😁

Dislikes

Mess is really bad. There are limited options available apart from the hostel food and those options aren’t really good either
Department’s labs need improvement there is shortage of microscopes and the ones that are already there doesn’t work especially in the microbiology department

Academic is best regarding super faculties
Clubs are best and has a registered mountaineering academy.
Many cultural events takes place to soo best to development of hobbies

Dislikes

Attendance criteria is very strict so that's little hectic
Permission of dean is required for any small event
Canteen is not that good regarding compliance of students

Curriculum is best well planned by faculties as well as mbbs.proper scheduling of lectures tutorial postings practical is best. Every second is managed cleverly. making it interesting and understandable for students.

Small class size allows for individual attention and equal opportunity
Decent location, close to mumbai and thane
Good patient load, good exposure to cases

Dislikes

High patient load and small batch size makes internship very tiring and hectic compared to other colleges
Current administration is not supportive of extra curricular and co curricular activities like exchange programs and fests
Poor research culture, very few opportunities to do good research

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is standard for all MBBS courses. There are theory lectures and practical classes. Hospital exposure begins in the second year onwards. Current revisions in the course like introduction of logbook etc are unnecessary and time consuming.

Faculty expertise and Teaching quality most teachers are from other Institute of National Importance (INIs)
Campus life and social interaction. The boys:girls ratio in my batch is 4:1
Events and Fest- The grand fest HALLUCIA and events of every culture

Dislikes

Gender ratio is 4:1 which is very less for an INI
Academic pressure is too much. Students are overburdened with the academics here.
Music room is very small and instruments are less. Fundraising here is needed at this hour.

The curiculum well verses students to deal with every kind of cases and complaints patient comes with. Exams are held almost every 3-4 months which makes the student prepare for real life scenarios by giving clinical vignettes.

The only negative thing of our college is we the students of AFMC after our studies we arr bound to serve in the Indian army for atleast seven years other wise we have to pay the money for going outside Rest everything is absolutely good

I applied for AIIMS Delhi , JIPMER and Madras medical College and i couldn't get in AIIMS and JIPMER because of inadequate marks but i chose AFMC over MMC because there are good facilities, varoius co curricular activities and job security here in AFMC. To get into AFMC you should pass in NEET UG and apply willing for Afmc in all india counselling. Shortlisted candidates will be called for screening. All About ARMED FORCES MEDICAL COLLEGE

The admission process in Armed Forces Medical College is based on the score of the NEET exam. When the neet results are out AFMC releases cut off. So those who have applied for AFMC are called for counseling on the basis of their cut off. Just after the NEET exam, AFMC releases its application. So AFMC calls all the candidates who are eligible for the counseling and conducts a screening test. The screening test comprises of three steps. The first step is ToELR (Test of English language, Comprehension, and Logical Reasoning) test and PAT (Psychological Assessment Test). After this they put a merit list, those who are qualified for interview. After the interview they conduct medical. And finally, they add all the marks including the neet score and release the final merit list. Those who are qualified are called to join the college. In my opinion, this is the best college ever.
