Remarks

Overall the college is worth taking admission in and you will not be dissatisfied in any field if you work satisfactorily.

Entrance Preview

JEE MAINS 209/360 I opt this college as I was able to get mechanical department and production branch and I'm a resident of kurukshetra. Moreover, I consulted seniors and tha placement scenario was satisfactory.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum of production engg. Is well chosen and it is basically a mixture of curriculum from different recognised institute. It is very much silimar to mechanical engg. Yet manages to study the main production core subjects. Really good if you want to go for higher studies.

Internships Opportunities

No internships are provided for the bachelor courses. Only the civil branch has training program that is survey camp and no compensation for that. But the experience is good and valuable as far as I know.

Placement Experience

3

Placement opportunities are good. Quite a lot comapanies visit NIT and the number is increasing every year. So, If you think you are capable then placement is no big concern. Both core and consulting companies visit here but if you are of IT background, then there is no suck limit of placements. A lot of companies are hiring these days from this background.

College Events

3.5

A number of cultural and technical events takes place every year in NIT Kurukshetra.Like Talent show for the freshers is the first cultural fest for freshers. Then comes techspardha, the technical festival of Nit kurukshetra held after talent show. And the biggest cultural fest is Confluence which is of national.level and about 200 colleges participate in this festival.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The exact fee structure you can get on the website of NIT Kurukshetra. All I know is the fees now is about 70000 per semester and the mess and maintenance bill we get in an average is about 3500 per month. The exact details can be taken from website or the academic building we have in the college. Overall the fees is a bit more according to facilities but the infrastructure is made better with time now.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I haven't availed any of such facilities but I have heard that college provide certain scholarships for the toppers of every department.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is happening. Gender ration is a bit less but yes we have diversity of type of students from all over India and abroad too. We have a lot of competitions based on different departments during the technical fests and sports is also a field well taken care of. We also have a number of social groups which deals with social work, management work, photography etc. So these fields are of least concern.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostela are not that good but we can say they are satisfactory. Mess food is average so we have to rely sometimes on the food from outside which is easily available here. But we have the basic facilities like geezers, washrooms are genuine and we also have Internet facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. We have an alumni association in NIT Kurukshetra and also our recent seniors help us in every possible way whenever we need it. The relationship among the seniors and juniors is one of the best things of NIT Kurukshetra.

Exam Structure

Exam structure at my time was good but better now as I have heard. Subjects related to branches are studied from second semester only and sessionals are taken two times every semester whose weightages are same i.e, 20 Maeks out of 100. 20 marks are given for attendance and 10 for class performance. Final exam is of 50 marks.

Admission

First of all my overall national rank and state rank was calculated which were 25416 and 817.Then we were made to fill colleges and branches onkine according to our preferances. Then result was given and we had to report college at mentioned time for document verification which I did. Then we were alloted roop Numbers and sections and we started to attend classes.

Faculty

3

Faculty quality is good but the quantity is a concern. The number of profs. Are very less due to which our classes were taken by adhocs and PhD students. But the professors presents and the adhocs are really good and are experienced and the number is increasing every year. I hope coming years will see ample availability of faculty.

Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.
