Entrance Preview
BITSAT(BITS admission test) is the exam that should be cracked to enter into the college. The exam consits of Physics, Chemistry and Maths with addition of logical reasoning and English.
Course Curriculum Overview
In BITS there is a different curriculum as compared to other engineering colleges there are some compulsory subjects which everyone has to study to get degree and there are some optional subjects which should be picked by the students but every student has to take one subject from it. Here you can do your own research where even the teachers helps you a lot and the university supports student in many ways.
Internships Opportunities
BITS offers many internship program opportunities,there are n number of summer internships abroad and summer internships in india too.out of these some are paid and some are unpaid.avarage stipend for the paid ones is the 12000 per month.
Placement Experience
Being one of the most reputed colleges in india , its placements are 100% and that too in reputed companies like google,microssoft,intel,texas instruments,quacomn, Mc kinsey and co, etc.the averge package is very high .for example , last year it was 20 lpa for CS and 16lpa for EEE.
College Events
BITS play a important role in conducting many events and festivals for example some of the events are BITSMUN , APOGWEE, BOSM, Oasis , ectt...the events organisation was too good in conducting these kind of festivals.
Fee Structure And Facilities
affordable!!! BITS has very less fee structure as compared to other private universities with this many facilities. and it is totally 2.26 lpa.
Campus Life
the college offers many opportunities to participate in extracirculars.it puts the equal preference to academics and extracirculars. there are many extracicular activities too in the campus . there are many grounds , indoor playrooms ect
Hostel Facilities
There Are 14 hostels Some hostels are good, some are ok and some suck.Thirteen boys and one girls hostel. The hostels are well maintained and renovated from time to time. The hostel fees is nearly INR 8,000 per month including food and laundry services.Hostels have 24x7 hot water, water cooler, R.O. purifiers and wifi.
Alumni/Alumna
the interaction with the alumni was awesome.this really motivates us. They give us better suggestions which are required at this stage of life. they play a main role in overall development of the students. They were more interactive and moves friendly with the students.
Exam Structure
The Exams and Assignments are nicely distributed, thus you have to work all through the semester. the exams are not held frequently and they have chill culture and exams are being with the opinion of students and sometimes there will be surprise exam which is really tough. the exams are too tough but relatively everyone performs well.
Faculty
The faculty members are well-qualified, most of them having done their Masters or Ph.D. from some reputed college. Due to no compulsory attendance, the lecture slides are most of the times uploaded on an online portal and they are the same slides used to teach the students in the classroom. The lectures can have a huge student-teacher ratio such as 400:1 or 250:1 but the tutorials every week are well-designed and usually have a ratio of 40:1 or 50:1. There are a lot of evaluative components so you get to test whether you have really understood what is being taught. The Practice School 1 and 2 is essentially designed to provide the required industrial exposure and the courses sure help in implementing the projects that are given during these sessions.
