What Students Say

Likes

I like their greenery. We have so much temples and we get better food than other NITs and no ragging is there

Dislikes

We have to come hostel by 10 and in college by 8.30 pm

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is not so much hectic. Student ratio is 1 girls in 4 boys. Quality of faculty depends on their mood sometimes they teach very good and sometimes they teach decent but not bad. I am freshers so no idea about difficulty of exam and after every 2 months we have exams.

Class Size: 210Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I only have more knowledge of internships for CSE. Average stipened is more than 50k. Microsoft, Google, Amazon etc companies offeres roles to 7th year students. I have no knowledof project to qualify tasks yet.

Placement Experience

In 8th semester students eligible for placements. and in 7th semester students do internship. Many companies visited like Microsoft, Google, Amazon etc and we have above 85% placement in each year. Last year highest package is more than a Cr and avergae is 14 LPA. My plans is getting a best job in web development.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is 7-8 LPA include hostels excluding their own expenses. I would say this is better as compared to others. And there is no academic fees in SC/ST. For general and obc if less than 1 lpa parents annual then academic fees is not being taken.

Campus Life

Life at Campus is boring during first week due to prevention of ragging. And there is no ragging in college. We get books for each subject for 1 semester then we have to return back. Sports is best and mostly game are avaliable and all students of every group play games together. We have Photography, Dancing, Music, Arts etc clubs.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

We get only one bed without bedsheet and one almirah. Meal quality is 4.5/5. Hostel fess is 40500 for every category and we have to fill form and join whatsapp group and agree their terms and condition. No i never rented room

Hostel Fee: INR 40500 per year

Admission

For eligible the coarse we have to qualify JEE mains and cross the cutoff marks for that particular branch. Application forms and dates come on our gmail id.I have no reservation benefits and i don't think there should be improvement in admission process.

Interview Experience

4.5

No i didn't face any group discussion yet if i exclude labs. If i include labs then group discussion is best and topics is given to each group but theybare different. But as a freshers there is no interview and test pattern asked by me

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

NIT KURUKSHETRA: An Honest Review

The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges. There is state reservation of 50% in all NIT's. Admission Process:- JOSAA counselling:-Students list their prefernces based on JEE rank, and seats are allocated accordingly. Document verification:-Required documents include JEE scorecard, class 10/12th marksheet and income certificate for fee waivers. Pay intial fees and confirm your seat....Read More
