Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The courses offered in the first year of my BTech were not relevant with respect to my stream. The taught us the subjects like Human values , chemistry , Engineering practice, economics etc. which I didn't find relevant. But as the semesters passed on ,our course curriculum improved and changes are introduced for the good of students. Especially in the second year ,the subjects I am studying are very much relevant and the teachers are also very helpful.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities are good especially in the software and web development companies. Startups and small scale companies mass recruits students for internships. Big MNCs are Google ,amazon also recruit students with exceptional talent. Those who don't get chance in these startups and private companies can apply for government companies like DRDO ,ISRO,BHEL etc. for internships and get an exposure of corporate life.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements from my college are above average comparing to many NITs. The average package is around 17 lakhs and for branches like Computer science and Information technology it's even greater than 21 lakhs. Mostly students who are eligible for placement get placed. The minimum package is around 6 lakhs which is not bad comparing to many other private colleges where it's close to 2-3 lakhs. Those who don't sit for placement either go for higher studies from IITs or Foreign colleges or they give GATE or other exams for government jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is very simple. Students belonging to the SC/ST and PwD category don't need to pay any tution fees ,they only need to pay the hostel and mess fees which is 34500 per semester. Students from General and OBC category having annual family income less than 1lakh also don't need to pay tution fees and they just need to pay the hostel and mess fees. Students from General and OBC category having annual family income from 1 lakh to less than 5 lakh just need to pay 1/3 of the total tution fees and the hostel and mess charges. Students from General and OBC category having annual family income greater than or equal to 5 lakh need to pay total fees. Talking about scholarship, If you will be in the top 3 of your department in terms of CGPA then college will provide a scholarship of rupees 3000 annually. Which I think is very less for such brilliant students.

Campus Life

3

My overall experience is very good. Nit kurukshetra is known for having very greenish campus and that's true. There are various technical societies and clubs which focuses on the social and technical development of students. Also college organises sports event (CITIUS) , technical fest (TECHSPARDHA) and cultural fest ( CONFLUENCE) every year. But theses fests needs a lot of improvement and budget of these fests also need to be increased.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facility is not up to the mark. The mess food is average and the hostel management is not cooperative. WiFis and elevators (in hostel no. 10) are not working ????.Thanks to the airtel and jio which are providing unlimited 5g internet service. Also the bathrooms are not well maintained. So my overall experience of hostel and mess is not that good.

Admission

I gave JEE Mains exam in 2022 and secured 98 percentile and at the end of jee advanced ,I participated in the online counseling organised by JOSSA for IITs,NITs,GFTIs etc. for bachelor courses. I secured a Electronics and Communication engineering seat in NIT kurukshetra in the CSAB round (special round conducted by JOSSA for the remaining seats in the college's). Then I visited my campus along with my parents and went to the administration building ( named GOLDEN JUBILEE) and the staff there was very helpful and told me how to complete my admission process through an online Google form and how to upload all the documents required for admission ( list of documents are already specified on JOSSA official site). So ,I didn't find any difficulty during my admission process and I successfully get admission in my dream college.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

I had interest in full stack development, wanted to create websites. This course has collaboration with Xebia which provides a better learning approach for full stack No much improvement if the teacher appointed is great Timings of exam is really average but it is somewhat easy. Lookout for some exams because the faculty sometimes makes tough and tricky paper just to fail students
