Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum offered with the course is appropriate and shapes u for ur future job prospects. Teaching methods are perfect as per the curriculum suggested . I personally chose the course for my keen interest in the field. Others might have different reasons as to some might like to help people in distress while others would watch out for the present statistics of the growth of job prospects in this specific field. The exams are quite difficult because of the fact that the college is affiliated with the Calcutta University and the university is known for its difficulty level although the difficulty level is certainly worth it
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is affordable and can be paid even if a student tutors and earns a little, the fees can be paid from there . What I mean to say is that a student, even if she belongs from a lower middle class, can pay the course fees. Bsc course is higher than Ba course but not much. Scholarships like Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Scholarship can be availed by students to pay for their education. Stipends are awarded to meritorious students and students are motivated to participate in various programmes and inter college events to boost their productivity and creativity.
Campus Life
My overall experience on campus is excellent and u will never regret getting admitted here. Various programmes are held and also inter college events are open to students to show off their talents. All sorts of books are available in our both libraries (arts and science). Sports day is held annually where all students can participate without fear of judgement as almost everyone is cooperative here. There are various student run clubs of which I am a part of the art and craft club, drama club and cultural club. There are other clubs like literary club, films club, etc.
Admission
The admission process overall was quite smooth. The application form and the details were available in the website of the college. The cut offs were around 92 percent considering the best of 4 subjects. The only problem encountered was we did not receive notifications of any sort and we had to keep checking the websites every now and then. And the notices were very sudden, here I mean the display of merit lists and the time given for admissions were very close and if u miss to check the website for one day, u might cross the deadline. The course I enrolled is a good one and has a good faculty in the college. Teachers are very helpful. The difficulty level is moderate and the course requires consistency in studies.
