Remarks

NIT Kurukshetra is a good institution to learn and enjoy it sort of taught me handle different situations with calm and intelligently the bad thing is the excessive regional aroma everywhere u can see others also but to limited space.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE and I secured 13495 AIR it was obvious to go for NIT and NIT Kurukshetra being near to my home was the reason to go for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was complete but obsolete the course was concept building but it lacked in field/practical approach also the latest inclusions were also not included in the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

For civil engineering course companies didn't came for any internship programs students have to arrange it by themselves but for other courses like computer science, Information technology and Electronics companies came some, which I remember were amazon India goldman Sachs, RBS, Samsung research etc the stipend offered varied from 12k to 30k per month.

Placement Experience

Placements are above average but not great job opportunities are large in numbers but average in packages following are some companies with their respective offered packages, Afcons Infrasture Ltd. (Civil,Mechanical) 3.8 lacs p.a, LnT ecc (civil) 3.5 l.p.a, Technip ( Civil,Mechanical) 4.5 l.p.a, Amazon India(C.S.E, I.T.) 18 l.p.a etc.

College Events

Technical, Altius ( Average with good internal Participation), Techspardha ( Average with great Participation both internal and external)Cultural, Confluence (Above average with great active participation both internal and external), Talent Show.

Campus life was very exciting and cool everybody used to share and work as a team at the hour of need though sex ratio is bit unbalanced the only thing which could be pointed out is the state quota admissions due to which regional haryana population was very high which automatically created a culture favoritism.

For first year they provide shared accommodation which i think is good for rest of the years they separate rooms for each the sanitary facilities were excellent the internet connectivity was great the hostel food was above average overall it was fun to be

The alumni network was very weak until alumni association was founded thereafter the association people worked very hard to create a dynamic and successful alumni network they organised several alumni meets which indeed were very good.

Exam structure was quite relaxed though the number of exams were large but they were well scheduled so that one should get enough time to get over the previous ones and have enough to prepare for next ones.

Likes

I like the claim and composed environment, no one shouting or making noise
Each buliding have lift which help reach higher floor easily
Having strong alumni association which help student get placement

Dislikes

I don't like the paper work delay during the admission after paperwork
Campus less crowded places are not maintained very well
Older buliding classes don't have ac in the classroom

In Electrical course we have many kind have course which design for solving various kind of problem in field , BSC ( Basic science course ) , ESC ( Engineering Science Course ) , DSC ( Disciplinary specialized Course ) , VAC ( Value Added Course ). Professors teaches with real life example and use 3D shape and animation to explain things easily.

Echelon technology provides predefined curriculam and tests, exams on weekly basis. this college will help to make projects and intrest any activies which you like. All teachers teching method is mostly common and easy to understand for both types of student first who one is coming from outside of states and the local student.

Infrastructure of our college is too good,having proper ventilation system ,well equipped AC ,a hygienic environment having a lush green campus.it has proper wifi facilties in the campus. I would personaly rate it 4.5/5.
Here we get exposure to various growth opportunities like sports,studies and research.Even our college is open for students who plan to start their startup. our college provides specific amount help for students aspiring to run their own startup.
while talking about social interaction, our college has a good crowd and people are friendly so its easy to connect with them,all the faculties are expert in their domain having a good background and knowledge in their feild

Dislikes

CCTV's are not present in class which should be there for security purpose. only in the campus and corridors CCTV are present.It's kind of hard for students to get their medical certificate approved , they need a lot of formalities.
Mess food is not upto the mark, it should have been better thats why students have to go to canteen and food stalls to eat food and in campus girls to boys ratio is too less .less number of girls as compared to boys.
The library space is also very short ,it get's crowder and filled up during exam times so students have to go to other libraries present in the campus and it gets hard for student to study in summer's outside the library.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Likes

I liked the environment alot. The infrastructure is very good.
The food court is also very good and provide good food on affordable price.
I like the teachers alot they are very easygoing and friendly to communicate with.

Dislikes

I don't like the uniform system as they ask us to wear it daily.
There should be days atleast once a week where we can wear casuals in college.
The teachers are very strict about the study.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

i like that this college fees is affordable and can be deducted if we get good grades inschoool
faculty is so good all notes will be provided online , and also teachers are well educated
computer labs are well facilated , with wifi and good computerss

Dislikes

billingual classes can be problem sometime if someone want it in english
water can be sometime bad in one of the department
college is situated in rural area so convinience can sometime bother you

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 6th or 7th semester for the campus placement And R College offer many companies, for example, at CL Maruti Suzuki, and there are many more which you can found in brochure. And the highest package of our colleges is 30 lpa. And the average package can be lie around 7 lakhs per annum. And percentage of student plays I don't really get it And after I got a degree, I'll plan on making some business rather than holding on some internships

I had interest in full stack development, wanted to create websites. This course has collaboration with Xebia which provides a better learning approach for full stack No much improvement if the teacher appointed is great Timings of exam is really average but it is somewhat easy. Lookout for some exams because the faculty sometimes makes tough and tricky paper just to fail students

industry focussed curriculum and only relevant things that are required in the industry are taught be it soft skills or tech stack
more practical learning to solve real world problems rather than just classroom learning approach
i also like the crowd of my batch its really very supportive, there is so much to learn from each one of them

Dislikes

sometimes acads become so binding that it prevents us to participate in any other extracurricular or sport activities

Placement Experience:

the placement and internship support here is really great i know many of my friends who bagged internship in their first year itself i myself got an opportunity in my first year to work with a company the faculty and placement team provides full support to students other than this we have a paid internships of six months in the 4th semester for every student and students are being prepared for the same since the very beginning of the course

I chose this college due to its ranking and the overall atmosphere of the college and also the reviews or various alumni who are in good positions today. I did apply to other NITs like NIT Bhopal, NiT Surat, NIT Allahabad and others but didn't get confirmation of admission due to rank factor and spot rounds. Due to this I didn't secure admission in other colleges. NIT KURUKSHETRA: An Honest Review

The key reason for my choice of NIT KKR college was it has affordable fee structure , good campus cirriculum. Admissions are based on JEE Mains, followed by JOSAA/CSAB counselling. Candidates must have at least 75% in class 12 or be in top 20 percentile of their board. Cutoff and Seat Allocation:- General category:-For cs/it candidate rank must be in 5k-10k. Other branches require less ranking. OBC/EWS/SC/ST : Lower rank benefits due to reservation quota. There is female quota too just to increase boys:girls ratio in engineering colleges. There is state reservation of 50% in all NIT's. Admission Process:- JOSAA counselling:-Students list their prefernces based on JEE rank, and seats are allocated accordingly.
