Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course i got is not what i wanted,it was my second preference but i couldn't clear the cutoff for the preferred course. Chemistry honours might help you to become a researcher after completing masters and phd It also gives scope in industrial area or in teaching profession most of the jobs are available after completing master degree. The course can be improved if practical knowledge is allowed to flow more Exams are conducted every 6 months and difficulty of exams is moderate to hard

Internships Opportunities

4

The course i am persuing doesn't get much internship opportunities but you can apply for vice chancellor internship scheme issuid by DU.and also can get internship at labs of our college But there are intership opportunities for commerce students and companies offer a stipend ranging from 5k to 50k depending upon the type of work

Placement Experience

3.5

Students in 6th semester are eligible to apply for placements any student enrolled in college can apply for it. Companies like wipro, pharma company delloite etc visits our campus The average package is 5-6 lac while the highest package is 19.25 lac My course is mostly eligible for pharma companies placement but i plan on doing masters and get into teaching profession

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for my course in 1st year was 18.5K and the registration fee for Delhi university was 250rs for gen and obc students. The exam fee per semester varies from 1.6k to 2.5k depending upon the course you opted. So yearly charges for fee on total per year concludes to approx 224-25K The Fee for second year is 17.5K. There is no extra laboratory fee but fine is charges upon breaking expensive lab instruments(obvious fact) The fee for SC/St students is a bit less like 250 lesser than obc whose fees is 250rs lesser than general candidate. There are financial aid scheme going in college for financially unstable students to halve the college fee depending upon your family annual income

Campus Life

4.5

The fest of our college is called mosaic held between jan-april.as du is famous for fests. All the needed books are available in college library and if there is you can contact librarian to get it.anyone with id card of our college can issue books from library Each classeroom has a projector installed but only few faculty use it.the classes doesn't have ACs only the library has it. The college have all the popular sports available such as cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, bedminton, chess etc And there are many alumni winning national and international medals from our college There are many societies such as music, drama, dance, debate, literary etc for students to involve in social interaction and gain experience

Admission

This combination of course and college was on my 11th preference. To get admission in DU merit is based on Cuet exam.every course has is own requirement ie. For math honours 4 subject marks are considered (i got 505/800) And for chem, physics, life sciences etc acore is considered for 3 subjects (i got 306/600) The DU admin allots college and courses based on your preference list filling and merit in Cuet exam My score wasn't enough to get admission in hindu, hansraj,st. Stephan college. As mentioned above,To get into DU college you have to give CUET exam in which the subjects are your 12th standard subjects.mostly each subject is of 200 marks. and the marks are considered out of 800 or 600 depending on your course combination

Faculty

4.5

There are enough faculties available to mentor the students.most of the faculties are approachable and are friendly towards students I like the faculties who do not give a damn about student coming late to class, giving students the maximum marks possible as it shows their friendly nature as needed by modern students Some old fashioned teachers are quite opposite as they throw a tantrum for late coming students and strict about tests and assignments. A faculty from my department sets the exam for DU so she teaches relevant stuff to exam so it's a plus point. There are internal tests conducted by respective subject teachers than there are practical exam where a faculty from outside college comes to take the viva and than at last theory exams that are conducted by delhi university per semester

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
