Remarks

Positive remark about the college is this that it is at a very prime location and surrounded by many other food joints and entrance exam coaching centre and metro station is also at walking distance from the college. And even the bus stop. Whereas the negative remark about the college is its time table include 8:40-5:00 and there are practicals of 2 hours. If the child takes leave it somehow looses its marks as it is a continues evaluation system of marking.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Bsc home science is a multi disciplinary course. And one can explore different variety of subjects here. This is a practical based course. And the major 5 fields of this course are Communication, Human Development, Fashion studies, Food and nutrition and lastly resources management. Whereas the different sub branches of this course includes subjects like Extention management, interior designing, zoology, botany, psychology, economics, physiology, sociology, early childhood studied etc. The course is suitable for the students who are finding it difficult to find their interest as they can explore more of the options in this course.

Internships Opportunities

The college does not provide internship to each and every student but the staff let us know in which field and to which companies we can apply for the internship. Lately i got to know through my friend that a teacher has provided her the internship.

Placement Experience

0.5

There is no placement cell in the college for bsc students but this year a paid job fair was held at the college premises. And no such job opportunities is provided by the college. I'm not sure if msc students have placement cell or not.

College Events

4

OFFICIAL FRESHERS for the newly admitted students on behalf of du UNOFFICIAL FRESHERS by the union members of the college. DJ EVENING for the college students. Official FEST of the college which has societies and their performances and competition by other du colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible though the fee structure has not remained stable in first year the college fee was around 12 thousands and in second year it was around 18 thousands and in final year it was around 23 thousands.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any loan or scholarship and didn't even knew that the college provide with any such thing or not. Though the college premises consists of a bank within, but most probably it is for the fee payment only.

Campus Life

4

Extra curriculum activities include debating society, singing society, nukkad natak society, stage play society, dance society, fine art society, fashion society, sports society and many more. These societies takes place in du fest and many other fests of the different colleges.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college has facility of hostel and flats it is seemed that flats are much better than the hostel. As I'm a day scholar i was not allowed to enter the hostel or flats but the hostlers did not gave any positive review about the college hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

The students who are part of one or the other society has the privilege of contacting the seniors as the society members develop another bond within themselves, otherwise there's no such thing namely alumni meet in the college. Though when we contact with the senior students most of them came out quite helpful.

Exam Structure

The college follow the pattern of CBCS in examination and even practical examination also take place before theory exam. The college take 2 set of internal assessments too before external examination.

Admission

I applied for this course through Delhi University site. When the merit list came out. I had cleared that limit of marks in my cbsc 12th result. So i went to the college next day. And applied and verified all my documents over there. And finally got admission.

Faculty

5

The college has very decent and nice faculty with tremendous knowledge about their own subject as well as the other related subjects. Teachers are understanding and help the child to explore learn and develop him/herself in the best manner they could. Teachers do not lack in providing the study material including notes and last year question papers for the examination purpose. Must say Lady irwin has a very nice faculty.

The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
