Course Curriculum Overview

Now a days computers are ruling the world so i choose computer science and the curriculum supports it allot they conduct no.of hackathon and also sessions for acknowledging students on real life problems . I suggest the curriculum to give students atleast an hour every day to practise in their course and they should be thought students to solve real life problems everyday. The exams are not that difficult to pass and they are moderate too score best.

Campus Life

There are many fests conducted in our college but the big two main fests are Yuvatarang and techritz held on December and October. Sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged . There are 30 different clubs in our college which includes the best like microsoft club and google club and many others they are very impactful in our college because they give knowledge and help students in many ways to take lead and work on real life problems.

Internships Opportunities

there are internships opportunities in dsu but i still feel that it could be improved more .many good companies dont come to campus like google, amazon, microsoft, myntra, which could make the internship opportunities more convinient to students.internship opportunities in my college is quit decent and improved significantly overs the years. the college has a dedicated training and placement cell that regularly informs students about internship openings through emails ,notice boards and student groups. students are encouraged to gain practical exposure through internships from the early years of their course itself. many reputed companies visit the campus to offer internship opportunities in domains such as software development , web development ,data analytics ,human resources and core engineering fields. apart from campus provided opportunities ,the college also support student regarding resume building, interview preparation and selecting internships relevent to their career goals. the college organised workshops, skills development programs, coding competitions, industrial visits and guest lecture to prepare students for internship role. student are encouraged to work on projects and certification to streghthen their profiles. technical club and student societies also help student gain practical experience by working on real world projects and collaborative activites. one positive aspect is that the college allows flexibility for students who secure internships for their own, necessary permissions and acedemic support are generally provided so that students can complete their internship without any dfficultied. the qulaity of internships varies depending on the students skills, academic performance and branch of study, student who actively participate in workshops, maintain good academic record and continously improve their technical and communication skills usually have better chances of securing quality internships. some internships are paid valuable

Campus Life

Overall campus life is enjoyable and student-friendly. The college organizes cultural events, annual fests, sports competitions, and seminars regularly. Students get opportunities to participate in technical, cultural, and sports clubs, which help improve teamwork and leadership skills. The campus environment is safe, inclusive, and encourages interaction among students from different backgrounds. The infrastructure is good, with spacious classrooms, well-equipped computer labs, a library, Wi-Fi, seminar halls, and sports facilities.

Faculty

The faculty is always supportive and impartial, the course structure and teaching system is good and every student can understand easily. The exam structure includes weekly test, Mids and semesters. The marking schemes is better becoz this includes the average of weekly, mids and also attendance this helps the students to perform better in semesters.

Fees and Financial Aid

I was eligiable for scholorships. For me the annual fee per year is 52000,and other fees are around 10000. I feel this is affortable, and including the transportation charges it would cost around 100000/ year. The fees may vary from student to student, depending upon the eligibility and reservation.

Fees and Financial Aid

To be honest, paying for an international career pathway is a huge investment. At JGU, the tuition is Rs. 500000 per annum, but the Merit-cum-Means (MCM) scholarships have been a lifesaver for many of us, covering significant portions of the tuition based on our JSAT, 12th score and personal interaction scores and family income. When moving to the UK, the costs shift to pounds, but the 20% bursary for the Master's year at Westminter, roughly 3100 off, makes the global dream much more affordable for dedicated students.

Internships Opportunities

The exposure i am getting here has been phenomenal. Since we're connected to over 400 universities abroad, the internship culture feels totally international with JLL, CBRF, WWF and many more. I've also worked on live projects like the Katkatha Project in Delhi and the Ponnani Project in Kerala. I was right there in the construction yard, testing brick foundations and figuring out structural systems. That hands on experience gave me so much confidence. It's exactly what i need to handle high pressure design jobs.

Campus Life

Campus life at Shoolini is peaceful and moderately active. Cultural fest “Moksh” is held around March–April, with technical events and hackathons throughout the year. Library has good books and e-resources. Smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, and labs are available. Sports like cricket, football, and badminton are offered. Clubs and student societies help in cultural, technical, and personality development.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty-student ratio is 1:13 and teachers are mostly approachable and helpful. Curriculum is industry-oriented with internships, projects, and tools like AutoCAD and GIS, useful for jobs and higher studies. Improvements needed in more site visits, better labs, and deeper core subject focus. Exams are semester-based with internals + finals, moderate difficulty; regular study helps in passing easily.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum achieves a commendable balance between academic rigor and industry alignment, making it both highly relevant and comprehensive. One of the most influential factors in selecting this course was its forward-thinking design, particularly the inclusion of specialized tracking modules and interdisciplinary electives that allow students to customize their learning path according to market demands. The curriculum prepares students exceptionally well for both real-world career applications and advanced academic pursuits by embedding hands-on capstone projects, real-world case studies, and mandatory internships directly into the framework. This ensures that graduates can transition seamlessly into professional environments with practical problem-solving skills, while the emphasis on research methodologies provides a strong foundation for further scholarly endeavors.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I took admission, the total admission fee for MCA was Rs 3 lakh and Rs 75,000 per semester. I got a merit scholarship in this because I had 70% marks in graduation, so I was given 12% per semester for 1 year. And the condition for the next year was that I had to maintain my 7 CGPA, so I maintained that and because of that I got a scholarship for the next year also.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose AIML which is currently most asked course by the companies . As AI is taking over the world it is important to learn how does this work and make our easier. So this thought made me choose this course. The curriculum prepares us for real world application like whatever is taught us relevant with the course and requirements for the placement . Even if one is not selected in the campus placement can get selected off campus because we are taught well according to me . Teaching method should be more digital like use of projecters and practical examples in labs . Course curriculum is fine according to me Exams are held very 6 months in which around 4 months we get for the course completion and between other 1-2 months exams are held

Fees and Financial Aid

So my total fees per year is 60,000 but I got an compensation for 10000 during the admission. Registration amount for the college was 1500 and out of the 60000 fees I was asked to atleast pay 10000 fees during the admission. It was compulsory to buy the uniform from the college itself which was divided in two categories for females 1500 for cloth for stitching kurti and 2500 for shirt trouser set. Overall I think this is affordable for any middles class Student . As I belong to OBC category I get scholarship of 30000 per year , I only pay remaining 20000 . I took the bus service of the college which cost me around 24000 per year . As btech is divided into semesters so per semester my fees is 25000 excluding bus fees

Campus Life

Campus life is vibrant and enjoyable, with a healthy balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Annual cultural and technical fests are usually organized between February and April. The library offers a wide range of books and journals, classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors, and the campus provides good indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Students can actively participate in technical clubs, cultural societies, and social groups, which help improve leadership, teamwork, communication, and overall personality development.

Internships Opportunities

As a Ph.D. scholar, internship opportunities are not a mandatory part of the program. Instead, the focus is on research projects, publications, teaching assistance, and collaborations with research organizations. Some scholars receive research fellowships or stipends through funded projects. The work mainly involves conducting experiments, data analysis, writing research papers, presenting at conferences, and contributing to ongoing research, which helps build strong academic and research skills.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is about 1:17. We have one teacher per subject, and that teacher teaches multiple classrooms. We have 2 mid examinations witha gap of two months between the fist and second. A week or so after the second mid, we have semester exams. The exams are very difficult.

Faculty

Faculty members mixed, seniors of age 50s also there and of 30s also there. They are mostly supportive, but they are strict on attendance. As our college is autonomous, they keep on update the syllabus frequently. I think they pick the latest content and modify the syllabus. Though it is difficult, when i compare the syllabus with my friends of other colleges, i proud that i am ahead of them. Three internal exams are conducted. Actually they provide Question Bank with answers for all subjects, if we study them completely, then its easy to pass in internal. The problem is i usually study before last exam, thats why sometimes i failed in internal exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

As i told earlier, syllabus is updated. teachers are also keep on studying and updating to teach this syllabus. For the internal assessment, we have to do real time projects, that gives me exposure to learn software. When i joined this college, it was not autonomous, i think they got it in 2024. i studied first year in Anna University syllabus, second and thrird years in Autonnomous syllabus. After autonomous, the teachers gave us lots of activities, thats cool.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1:60. Faculties are absolutely approachable and friendly. I got really quick responses from them in times of urgency and exams. Each class is assigned two mentors and a class cordinator. They notify us the competitions available, courses to be registered, workshops to be attended etc. So far, I have had many good faculties. One notable among them for me is our Web-esstentials and current Class-CO Mrs.Jennifer Prince. I had presented an idea in a competition in my very first-year but it didnt get through to the win. And I shelved the idea afterwards to never look at it again. One day, i get a call from IPR cell saying my idea is shortlisted. Turns out, she had talked to them about my idea and got me an opportunity to present it there. Really grateful to her for that!!!! Second, is our DPCO teacher Mr. Caleb, one of the finest in terms of teaching the dreadful subject and made us fall in love with it; Third is our maths mam and past class-CO Mrs.Sakthi Sudha, She was very supportive, motivating and taught the subject beautifully.; The sem exams are fine. i would rate it as medium toughness. If we are attentive in the class and revise all the materials given by the teacher, then we are sure to get above 80%.

Course Curriculum Overview

I believe, the curriculum is industry-ready. It is updated regularly(yearly). We are currently at V3 version of the curriculum, which i believe covers all the required industry-grade education. Apart from that, we have technical sessions/ workshops/ hackathons happening every now and then, infact, daily to be precise. From talks with my seniors, i got to know that several courses from their later sems had been pre-poned to our current sem, to give us the basic understanding of those early on. CAT is the major exam which includes all courses, Unit test is a short exam which includes just T-courses. The materials given for these exams are easy to understand and difficulty level depends on our preparation level. If we spend atleast one week to prepare before CAT, then I believe, we can easily score above 90%.
