Most teachers are certainly qualified with an impressive work experience. There are younger members in the faculty too who are still doing their PhD. So the faculty is an interesting mix of teachers who, through their various methods of teaching, create a unique experience for students. I say this not only because it's a continuously positive process but also because the students, as a class and as an open-minded group of youngsters have adapted themselves to fill in the spaces where the teachers lack, be it discussions, notes or assignments. Most of the teachers are interactive, sometimes to the point of distraction. But this has very often led to some intriguing discussions and debates during the lectures that help us to think outside the box and urge us to question everything. It would be unfair of me to judge the standard of teaching in general, but I do feel a sense of disappointment every once in a while though that is usually replaced by a greater determination to take a personal initiative. One thing that I wish more teachers would do is to move outside the text of the books and bring to us the whole world through the piece of literature that we are studying, of course, while keeping in mind the time-bound semester system.
So far, practical learning is something we are gravely lacking in. The course structure, although confusing and sometimes even boring in the beginning, is designed to cover almost every genre and enables a student to enjoy literature in all its depths. For the first two years, we have several subjects under 'Generic Elective' to choose from, such as Home Science, Mathematics, Economics, Sociology, Hindi etc. Our college is one of the only two colleges in DU to offer Apparel Design and Construction as an elective subject, which is what I chose for all four semesters as getting a certain grade will enable me to pursue higher studies in that subject as well.

There are plenty of student clubs in the college that you can choose from art club, dance club, drama club, movie club etc. So it's fun enrolling oneself to such extra-curricular activities. In Bangalore campus, sports infrastructure is still developing there are only a few sports that you can choose from. But that's not the case in the Coimbatore campus they have all kind of sports amenities.
The fee is Rs 2 lakhs per year including the bus fees.About fee structure, fee including hostel for a M.Tech student is feasible because of two year course. But even normal colleges are collecting high fees. So when compared normal college with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham with more facilities and opportunities should be feasible.

The course is based on practical learning, the curriculum is based on theoretical learning applied in practicality. College actively initiates research on hot topics such as GST, demonetisation etc. the elective options available are human resource, marketing, finance, operations, digital marketing & international business.
Yes, the college actively encourages students to organise events in the college and gives time and opportunity for the same. they were mostly at district level. the average footfall was 1000 people. the organisation was prompt the college didn't interfere much in the organisation but helped in resources.

College students often choose internships based on their branch of study. Students often perceive it as a way to develop their capabilities by practically applying their degree while learning in a professional work environment. Most students apply for internships during their summer and winter breaks. In some universities, internships during the college breaks are compulsory and a part of the curriculum. It is common that previous interns become employees to the organization once they have acquired the necessary skills and experience. Moreover, many engineering students also term their training period in certain industrial organization as an internship.
Paintball A game where players (in teams) compete to eliminate opponents by shooting them with guns that throw water-soluble dye balls. Build a maze in the college ground with materials from a local exhibition centre. That should give you minimum 5 hours of total fun! Mimic a Music Band All colleges have great musicians and freshers bands. Instead of a normal rock-on like jamming competition, you can have all the participating bands mimic a popular mainstream band of their choice. The one who is closest in mimicking (Everything from clothes, hairdos, equipment, style of performance etc.) should win!

The course curriculum in our college is very up to date. Since our college is autonomous, it has an advantage over others to design it's own curriculum. So, our college modifies the curriculum to meet the basic needs of industry today. The professors who'd be designing and modifying the curriculum have a broader perspective and so they'd design in such a way that it suits a particular class, I mean they don't go way too complicated and specifically talking about CSE it's very up to date. There's also Advanced Academic Center in our college where in we can research in the area of basic sciences. I did research on computer programming and I've done a compute programming project on Hospital management as a part of a team and we've received certificates from AAC right in the first year of B.tech.Overall, the course curriculum is great.
The exam structure is designed very student friendly. Usually, in a semester, there would be two internals of 20 marks each and they would consider the average of the two to decide the final internal score. Also, they would be giving you a score of 5 if you've submitted all the assignments on time and if your attendance is above 75% you would be getting a score of 5. Totally it's pretty much easy to score above 25 in internals and your external / semester end examination would be for 70 marks. The question paper would be set so ideally that most of the students would qualify the exam with a decent GPA but it's not as easy to top the exam but since our college results are only given in GPA, even if you get 80 marks in total (internal + external),you'd be getting a 10/10 GPA. So overall it's actually pretty good.

The placements were decent and the companies that visited the campus featured some of the big names like Amazon, Accenture and many more. Most of the students who underwent the placement process got placed, with the highest going around 12 lakhs per annum and the average being around 4 lakhs. Many students also got internship offers from these companies.
We had three internal exams that we had to score a minimum of 60% and semester exam. And separate internal exam in the form of Presentation, Case Studies, Assignment, and Thesis. It was chilled out as media is something that I could relate. Overall it was hard as there were lots and lots of assignments to clear.

Placements in VIT Chennai is categorized into 3 categories that are super-dream, dream, and normal. These three differ in terms of placements where super-dream companies start their offer starting from 12 lacs, dream companies, on the other hand, offer a package in the range of 6 to 12 lacs and finally, the normal offers where the companies offer a package between 3 to 6 lacs. About 80 % of students got placed this year. Companies like Google, Accenture, Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Cognizant visited the campus this year. The highest package offered was around 28 lacs and the lowest was around 2.5 lacs.
Student societies are technological( like IEEE, ISTE, TEC ), space-related like SEDS, cultural like dance, music, debate, public speaking, drama, and art club. There are international chapters at VIT University like the Intra campus club and many start ups. College and seniors always encourage us to participate. Festivals of all the states are held here. Bengali New Year, Gudi Padwa, Dandiya, Pongal etc. College life is extremely happening. From studies to cultural activities, all are very good

The college also offers various certifications like PEGA and SAP courses and also finishing school training in order to equip students with necessary tools to crack the best packages from companies. Hence if your concern is about equipping your brain to the best then Vasavi is one of the good options. No ragging guys, so chill out. If anyone rags in the college, he will definitely face termination. So no problem regarding ragging. If you are a dancing freak, it's a heaven for you. We have Theme Ballet for dance, Abhinay for dramas, E-Cell for entrepreneurship and many cultural clubs. The faculty team is highly educated and course curriculum is designed very well. The assignments given and the quizzes and exam tests conducted provide immense knowledge to the students. The extracurricular and co-curricular activities are given high importance. The faculty team is very strict in terms of educational facilities.Various seminars, presentations and industrial tours are given importance to provide knowledge to the students. There are various educational and cultural clubs, events and organizations to provide fun. A group of 14 students is allocated a proctor to take care of the student in all the terms.

Exam structure is very unfair. The question paper would be very tough and correction more tough than question paper. The fee is horrible for both regular and supplementary. Very high The 1 hour time for internals. 3 hours for external. Time duration is okay but very strict to be there before half an hour of exam time. If not then the candidate will not be allowed to attend exam. Id card and hall ticket must else not allowed to exam. Allowed to get from exam office a duplicate copy of hall ticket but a big procedure to get a letter sign from hod and submit in exam office and show it to invigilator. If its is late then not allowed to exam. Passing marks are 40/100. Minimum from external exam is 27/75 and maximum is 75/75. Student need to study all chapters and all topics as student have no option to leave any question from any chapter as they are five chapters and each chapter has two question hence total 10 questions. Student need to chose from two questions in each chapter.
Gender ration was 2:3, F:M. No extra circular activities except NSS, that is also for show off. No attendance who are attending, it is only for candidate who are toppers and has attendance to cover the absent-ism of that day. No sports at all in the college. We have a big cricket and football stadium but it is only given for rents for professionals. It is only used for 20 days in an year by students that too, a single match played by single section. Only 11 members per class section. No student gets attendance to play that single day also. There are no crowd to cheer match as no attendance for cheerers. That games are also ruled by pt and seniors. Seniority and branch feelings dominate the event. Labs are only to experiment which is in our records. Competitions on robotics and etc only on tech fest day.

If I talk about their qualifications then it can only be judged by a student according to their teaching methodology and and relation as every students are their own children and make each one of us feel comfortable in the class. They didn't let us feel bored in the class. Their interaction with students seems more like a friend. They correlates every topic with today's scenario, that's what I believe is a most interactive way of teaching and making every students relaxed in the class. Through this we remain updated with current scenario and general knowledge. Most of the time, we organise debate and discussion in the classroom related to topics with our venerable teachers. They support us in every field. They also suggest us to focus upon overall development, and share several ideas and different dimension related to that. I wish to say that, they are extremely talented, well qualified and, most experienced teachers I ever met.
Almost every month with respect to different Hons subject there is a seminar held in our campus. And there are exhibition of different field study related to physics and chemistry and many more. There are cultural activities which held in our college as fresher party, celebration of Gandhi jayanti, Teachers day, Independence day, Republic day, and Managerial fest also organised in the campus. Seminar took place in a large seminar hall ,well decorated and fully equipped with new and advanced technology. The other events organised in full enthusiasm and they are celebrated in our large and big ground. Yes, the authorities had a great helping hand in these celebration.

As I took admission in this college after qualifying the entrance test. All the process became Online in 2006. Starting from notification, following to Online Fee Payment for Entrance test,Entrance Exam and then Result declaration of Entrance Exam. After allotment of seat into college, the ball went to admin branch of college for further admission details
Course Curriculum is designed by Govt. committee and it is going as traditional however it needs to be improvise as Practical things needs to be maximize as according to corporate world which might be helpful to produce trained professional and it would definitely reduce the training cost of Companies.
Gender ratio was almost 1:3 (girls is to boys). Lot of workshops we're conducted with regard to various management aspects, various subjects were it depended upon your specialization, also face to face interactions with the best of industry leaders and experts happened on a regular basis. Also the college management was extremely strict on indiscipline and in the rules And regulations that the college had. Disciplined behavior was all they wanted all the time and there were instances where people misbehaved on various aspects and had a strict action where they broke the code of conduct. The college was extremely strict with regard to ones behavior, attendance, attitude towards studies, academic record in college.
The college had a tri-semester in which there were 8 subjects in each semester, also in each semester we also had to clear our fitness tests which means equal focus was given on studies and well and physical fitness. The first year was common for all students, in the second year my specialization was marketing, which means in every semester we had special focus on it and most important part was in the last 2 semesters we also had to prepare live business plans on which we were rated, also we had to make those business plans work (pilot business we had to do) which was a live one hand experience on what we were to look forward in our lives.

For admission into this college we have to secure more marks in eamcet and secure a good rank. After the eamcet results have been declared the organizing committee of eamcet would conduct document verification and they would give us a one time password with that one time password we should login and we have to give preferences for the college and branch after that we will be allotted to a particular college. In this way i got this university.
The exam structure was a hectic one the semester exams will be completed in a single week without leaving any day but we will enjoy the type of schedule and coming to the labs, the lab exams will be conducted based on the opinion of the students the lab date will be confirmed only after interacting with the students and the students decision will be final it would be a more advantage for the students as they can have time for that.

Placements and Job opportunities were not that great. The problem is that there are too many students (1200) in an year's batch and it becomes a big task for college placement cell to ensure all students leave the campus with good jobs. At the same time, there are many good companies visiting the campus in the initial stage of placements . to be qualified for these companies one needs to have a strong academic record. Also, many companies then take an aptitude test followed by GD and PI
Course curriculum was good for most of the subjects. Very interesting case studies were used to teach us - which in turn also increased our knowledge on various industry related problems and how they are solved. Second semester tests your hard working skills and patience as it has maximum subjects covering different areas . However, for few subjects case studies was not the medium which made it dull and boring Books recommended were really good and had detailed information

Placements stats are amazing with around 90-95% students who were interested in securing jobs getting placed in on-campus interviews. The highest salaries ranged between Rs. 30-32 LPA (domestic on-campus placements) and the lowest salaries were in the range of Rs. 5-6 LPA. The average salary was approximately Rs. 10 LPA. This does not include placement data of off-campus placements. More than 150 large scale companies visited for on-campus placements including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, LinkedIn, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and many more. There is a great opportunity available for landing a prestigious job while on campus. Companies which visited our campus offered different roles ranging from software developer, system architect, fabrication engineer and many more. Due to Practice School Program, everyone who wishes to get an internship will get one. This results in 90-95% students getting internships, which may turn into full-time jobs according to your performance in the company. This is because a lot of pre-placement offers are given to us while working as interns during Practice School Program. Every student on the campus gets a chance to work in two different internships provided in different companies, including almost all the companies that visit us during placements. For example, Oracle, Amazon, Flipkart, Morgan Stanley. The highest stipend ranges from Rs. 85000-90000 per month, and going as low as Rs. 15000 per month. Some research internships do not pay stipends like Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, but worry not as the students getting internships there get a stipend from BITS while working on cutting edge technologies and participating in live research with great potentials
Faculty members are very knowledgeable and very helpful. You can contact then whenever you want. Plus, they live in campus only so you can go and meet them They are very sweet to students. They are very qualified and possess at least a PhD degree and a lot of experience in their field. Different teachers use different teaching methods, for example, some teachers use light pen some use projector paper machine, some teachers use computer projector, some use only blackboard, some use physical equipment to explain a concept. 6:1 is the student-faculty ratio. I got industry exposure. Yes the curriculum is very useful we have T1, T2, lab exams, comprehensive exam and this is very useful to understand and test ourselves.
