In final & pre-final year, many companies came for placement. i would thanks to college management whose started a extra class for communication & personality development which put extra confidence in us. around 8-10 companies came in the premises and conducted the exams. i have cleared 2 companies interview exam and they offered me 3.5 lacs & 4 lacs. i was happy to get placed.

Admission

Admission in NSIT is completely JEE mains rank based. And yes 85% seats are reserved for delhi category students. Those students who have passed 12th from some school of Delhi are considered as delhi category students. Notification for admission are released on the website of JAC Delhi and in News papers just after the jee mains exam . First you have to register yourself on JAC Delhi Website registration process starts just after the declaration of JEE mains marks. Complete process is online. After registration you have to fill your choices college and course choices this process starts after declaration of JEE mains ranking. Through JAC admission in NSIT, DTU, IIITD, IGDTUW are done. After 10 to 12 days from declaration of ranks of JEE Mains. After that through counselling college and branch is allotted to you according to your rank and order of choice filling. After first round you have to accept seat to take part in further round. For seat acceptance you have to give admission fees which is refundable at a later stage till a specific date. If you accept seat and doesn't freeze the seat you are considered for upgradation in further rounds. Upgradation means allotment of you choice of higher order. Suppose if you are allotted your 4th choice than after upgradation may be you get your 2nd choice. After accepting seat you have to go to the college in which you have allotted seat for verification for once after that you have to go to the college finally at the time of joining.

Campus Life

Campus life at NSIT is unique and it will give you so many opportunities to develop yourself. So many fests events competition give you excellent exposure. Gender ratio is low as it is an engineering college in which taking admission is not an easy task. I think gender ratio is 1 girl per 6 boys. Yeah fair enough than IIT's there are no political activities in the college which is the best thing. Though 85% seats are reserved for delhi students but those delhi students are also from all over country as you know delhi has so much diversity. In NSIT there is no discussion on religion, race, ethnicity. No discrimination. No one will ask race or religion or caste.

Exam Structure

Superb and as per madras university curriculum professors ensure you are always occupied and need to meet strict deadlines to ensure to get ready for the corporate world. I learnt a lot, I was pushed so much by the faculties all those experiences helped me to handle work pressure during my initial stages of my carrier, Now i am used to it. Get ready to slog if you decide to join this institute.. It is for your own good and you will definitely excel.

Faculty

Great team and their background experiences are from different industries. Especially HOD Prabhakar has got international experience to groom the students and fellow professors to impart best and quality knowledge to student. Since most of them are from corporate experience, will help the students get best companies for their projects. I got my final project from Cadbury india through one of the professors reference.

Fee Structure And Facilities

You pay nearly eighty thousand as a fees for one year and you will definitely not get to know of even twenty thousand. Fees are too high for what they are deliver. They totally make people dumb over here and they are masters in giving load on them. You will definitely improve your handwriting as you will have to write all useless stuff over and over again and they will also ask many questions from here so it's a leak from university itself no one cares it's a score game.

Faculty

All the facilities teaching in this college they have masters degree but mostly they are totally unsuitable for teaching. They teach you no more then what's in book. Many of them don't know what they are teaching . They have done masters in mechanical and teaching electronic too. Many even fail to do so after all students have to do everything and what they do is give tonns of things to write as assignment.

Here are those in the academic community who dread hearing and reading about assessment. But aside from the mandatory reporting required by credentialing and accreditation agencies, how can faculty members be sure that all of the assessment activities they are required to report actually produce change and are not just more paperwork the university where I teach is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and is on the new review cycle. As part of that initiative, members of the university assessment committee, of which I am a member, are charged with reviewing program assessment plans and reporting to the accreditation committee. This article was prompted by research that I conducted for the committee to develop a new and more inclusive rubric. The information I learned is taking our assessment review from basic to advanced and is allowing us to develop a more in-depth and inclusive rubric for analyzing assessment plans.

Fees and Financial Aid

Everyone, even students who can afford the expenses, need financial assistance. When an international student is applying for a student visa, he/she is required to show evidence of possessing adequate funds to cover at least the first year of their college education. With university scholarships, bank loans, and private funding from your own country as available options; you need to focus on careful and wise planning. If you want university funding; that is only possible in the US. Countries like the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand do not usually offer students scholarships; but with loans from your own country, you can study anywhere in the world. Nowadays, with more international students applying to countries other than the US, there is a more flexible attitude towards providing financial assistance to foreign students.

Placement Experience

Institute has a full-fledged Training & Placement Cell to look after the Placement activities. The Training and Placement cell provides the official support base for placement of Final year & Pre Final year students. The support services that it offers are in the form of arranging campus interviews, grooming students to face the final test of their knowledge, create and arrange value added Industrial/Practical Training to the students. The institute is equipped with two centrally air conditioned Auditoriums (with a seating capacity of 1200 and 350) for holding Pre-Placement Talk, two conference rooms for conducting group discussion sessions, seminar hall and well furnished rooms & offices for conducting interviews. The Placement Office is fully computerized. The Steering Committee of the Placement cell is headed by the Training & Placement Officer of the rank of Assistant Professor and Industrial Coordinators from each department of the rank of lecturers. In addition to the support staff, four students from each department are contributing as Student Placement Coordinators objectives.

Faculty

The T & P cell looks after all arrangements to be made for the purpose of conducting campus interviews including everything from, the Pre-Placement Talk, to the written tests, to the final interviews. The Training and Placement Cell firmly believes in taking feedback from the companies that have visited the Institute since the feedback from the company serves as a yardstick regarding the performance of the students. This helps the Training and Placement Cell in concentrating on various areas for improvement in the students. We believe that our students are like ‘uncut diamonds’ who need to be guided in the right direction to acquire their luster.

Campus Life

Campus life is awesome as the campus area is huge I may say extreme. It's about 100 acres and has many blocks with all kinds of sports block huge grounds for cricket, tennis and an indoor stadium for games like basketball, table tennis. There are few temples inside the campus also. The parties given by the Seniors are great and enjoyable and almost every month or so there are fest's conducted by each department. The eve teasing(ragging) is no where I had been joined 3 months and saw no signs of teasing as each and every student are friendly and caring towards the other.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had opted the course because of the vast scope in further studies and research. The course is biotechnology and has a vast scope for research as bio meaning life with the combination of technology is never ending. So anyone who has done this course could do research throughout his life as it includes GENETICS one can easily can do research In human DNA which function and characters are still totally not known as only 5% of the DNA had been explored by the scientists. So this course is totally excellent for one who has a mind totally on research.

Subject toppers, Branch toppers, Topper of the college, best student of the year is one of the section during fest.

Exam Structure

The exams were scheduled in a very orderly manner providing ample time for preparation. Unless you are cursed with back logs which would overlap with your regular exam schedules. The labs were a real pain. First of all the students had to fill the records with all the theory which made no sense. The filing of record with theory and diagrams consumed so much time that the real activity gets very less importance and the significance of readings are diminished.

College Events

Our college celebrates every national festivals vigorously. Apart from festivals like Diwali, Onam, Eid, Christmas, we had union elections and celebrations. Our college had different departments like mechanical, electrical, civil, instrumentation etc who upheld their pride by conducting annual fest with rich themes every year. On top of all these we had inter college fests and open to public cultural programmes organised and coordinated by student union.
