Student must have passed 10+2 class with physics, Chemistry & Maths for taking admission in the (B.Tech) Footwear Technology course. Students have to score 60% marks in 10+2 class to take admission in most of the institutes. Some of the institutes are having percentage criteria of 50%.
Diploma students may get admission directly in the second year of B.Tech course.
For taking admission in the B.Tech Footwear Technology students have to pass the entrance exams conducted by the various universities. Students after clearing the entrance exams go through the process of counseling conducted by the universities, where according to the score in the entrance students will get the admission in the respective fields.
In the entrance exam, questions will be asked from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry & Maths. There will be three sections in the exam & each section will consists of 30 questions. Total 90 no. of questions will be there in the exam. Each question in the will be of 4 marks for each correct answer. Entrance exam will be of three hours. Selection will be made on the basis of class XII, class XI & class X marks, ranking in the JEE or Equivalent, performance in academic and extracurricular activities, essay and performance in personal interview.
