AILET 2019 Seat Allotment & Reservation Criteria

NLU Delhi devises a set of AILET Reservation Criteria following which the seats are allocated to the qualified candidates. Before explaining the reservation policy, having knowledge about the eligibility standards for the exam is important. Intermediate graduates with 50% aggregate can apply for the law entrance examination. This year, AILET 2019 is scheduled for May 5 in offline (pen-paper based) mode. The registration window is expected to become functional from 1st week of January 2019.

National Law University, Delhi will follow the reservation criteria for the following categories – 

  • Scheduled Caste (SC) 
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)
  • Person with Disability (PWD)

What is AILET Reservation Criteria?

Aspirants eligible for reservation and satisfying the eligibility standards are required to meet a minimum level of performance in the exam and subsequent rounds of selection for final admissions. Tabulated below is the reservations percentage as per candidate’s category.

AILET Reservation for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)

AILET LLB is a five-year-program that is offered at Bachelor’s level.

AILET Reservation for LL.M. 

LLM program is a year-long program offered at National Law University Delhi.  The number of seats is less as compared to LL.B. program.

What is AILET Merit List Preparation Criteria?

Admission to National Law University is made strictly through merit or scores secured in AILET Examination.

  • Minimum 40% (30% for SC and ST category) of the total marks in AILET 2019 are required for the admission.
  • University reserves the right to keep the seats vacant if there are no students who have secured minimum cut off marks. CheckAILET Cut Off
  • Candidates scoring same percentage of marks in law exam, the merit will be determined on the basis of % of marks in the Intermediate level (10+2 System) / Higher Secondary School or its equivalent examination recognized by the University
  • If the merit remains the same, then the marks of Class 10 will be taken into consideration. If still there is no change in rank, then the higher percentage shall get preference
