Hydrogen Bomb is an extremely destructive bomb whose explosive power is derived from the nuclear fusion of hydrogen isotopes. A hydrogen bomb is also known as a thermonuclear bomb or H-bomb. The hydrogen bomb is a second-generation nuclear weapon whose enormous explosive power results from an uncontrolled self-sustaining chain reaction in which isotopes of hydrogen combine under extremely high temperatures to form helium.
Hydrogen bombs are considered to be thousands of times more powerful than atomic bombs. The Soviet Union was the first one to test a hydrogen bomb in 1953, followed by Britain (1957), China (1967), and France (1968).
