Ajamil and the Tigers Summary
- Ajamil is portrayed as a shepherd whose sheep are guarded by a strong sheepdog.
- Tigers are starving because they are unable to hunt sheep. They protest to their king regarding the new sheep dog not allowing them to hunt sheep. The tiger king goes to confront the sheepdog but he is defeated.
- The tiger then assaults the sheepdog with other tigers. but conquered once again. The king of tigers then employs diplomacy.
- Ajmail asserts that the tigers could have killed all the sheep in “one clean sweep,” but he believes in attaining the goal is equally important as the goal itself. So, he has come to him as a friend.
- The sheepdog tries to warn Ajamil that the tiger king is lying, but Ajamil pretends not to understand. Ajamil postponed the invitation of the king and his tigers to a grand dinner to another day.
- Ajamil and the tiger king made an agreement in which Ajamil offers sheep to the tiger in exchange for peace.
- Now there is no conflict between the sheep dog and the tigers, and both drinks from the same pond. Ajamil is relaxed and can play the flute.
