CMAT Application Form 2027: Registration Expected October 2026, Eligibility, Fee and How to Apply

The CMAT 2027 (Common Management Admission Test) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to AICTE-approved MBA and PGDM programmes across India. What is CMAT Application Form 2027?

The CMAT 2027 application form is the official registration document for the Common Management Admission Test, which NTA will conduct in January 2027 (expected January 24, 2027, in a single shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM). CMAT scores are accepted by over 1,000 AICTE-approved business schools across India for MBA and PGDM admissions. The form will be available at exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT once NTA releases the official notification.

CMAT Registration Trends — Last 5 Years

CMAT registrations peaked in 2024 at 76,745 students — the highest in the last five years. Attendance percentage dropped sharply in 2022 and 2023 (below 80%), likely due to post-pandemic disruptions and the exam date shift to May 2023, but has since recovered strongly, reaching 85.3% in 2025. For CMAT 2027, registrations are expected in the 72,000–78,000 range, as MBA entrance interest in AICTE-approved programmes remains steady across India.

CMAT Application Form 2027: Important Dates

The CMAT 2027 schedule below is based on the previous year’s pattern (CMAT 2026 cycle). NTA has not released the official CMAT 2027 notification as of August 2026. All dates are tentative and will be updated as soon as NTA announces the official schedule at exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT.

CMAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria (Before You Apply)

You must verify your eligibility before the CMAT 2027 registration window opens. Applying without meeting the eligibility criteria can lead to rejection of your application — the fee is non-refundable in such cases. The eligibility criteria below are based on NTA’s CMAT 2026 guidelines and are expected to remain unchanged for 2027.

Note: Each participating college sets its own individual cutoff, GD/PI weightage, and minimum graduation percentage for admission — check your target colleges’ specific requirements before applying for CMAT 2027.

How to Fill CMAT Application Form 2027

The CMAT 2027 registration process will follow the same two-phase structure used in previous cycles: Phase 1 generates your Application Number via basic registration, and Phase 2 is where you complete all personal and academic details, upload documents, and pay the fee. The steps below are based on the CMAT 2026 process, which NTA is expected to replicate for 2027.

Phase 1: New Registration

1. Visit the official CMAT portal at exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT and click “New Registration” once the window opens.
2. Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID exactly as they appear on your Class 10 certificate or Aadhaar card — any mismatch causes issues later.
3. Verify your mobile number using the OTP sent via SMS to your registered number.
4. Create a strong password using a combination of uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
5. Note down your Application Number as soon as it is generated — you will need it for all future logins, admit card download, and counselling.

Phase 2: Fill the Application Form

1. Log in at exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT using your Application Number and Password.
2. Fill in your personal details: full name, date of birth, gender, category (General / OBC-NCL / SC / ST / EWS / PwD), nationality, and place of birth.
3. Fill in your academic details: Class 10 board name, year of passing, and roll number; Class 12 board name, year of passing, and marks; graduation degree, university name, year of passing (or expected passing year for final-year students).
4. Select up to four exam city preferences in order of priority — NTA will allot a centre in one of your preferred cities based on availability.
5. Upload your recent passport-size photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format within the specified size limits (photo: 10–200 KB; signature: 4–30 KB).
6. Review every detail carefully before proceeding — particularly your name spelling, date of birth, category, and photograph. Cross-check these with your Class 10 certificate.
7. Pay the application fee (₹2,500 for General Male; ₹1,250 for all other categories) via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
8. After successful payment, download and print the confirmation page immediately. Keep it safe — it is needed during the form correction window, for admit card download, and during counselling.

Note: Submit only one application form. If NTA detects multiple submissions from the same student, all applications will be rejected without refund of the fee.

Note: Aadhaar e-KYC is required during CMAT registration. Ensure your name and date of birth on Aadhaar match your Class 10 certificate exactly — visit your nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre to update any discrepancy before the registration window opens.

Submit only one application form — multiple submissions from the same student will be summarily rejected.

Download and keep your confirmation page safe — it is required for admit card download, exam entry, and counselling.

Documents Required for CMAT Application Form 2027

Keep the following documents ready in scanned/digital format before you begin filling the CMAT 2027 application form. All uploads must comply with NTA’s file format and size requirements — non-compliant files are rejected automatically during form processing.

Note: Do not upload an edited, filtered, or studio-retouched photograph — NTA rejects manipulated images during document scrutiny. Your photograph must be taken within the last three months, on a plain white or light background, with 80% of your face clearly visible and no headgear (except for religious reasons).

CMAT Application Fee 2027

The CMAT 2027 application fee is expected to follow the same structure as CMAT 2026, based on NTA’s consistent fee policy. The fee is paid online at the time of form submission and is non-refundable under all circumstances. NTA will confirm the exact fee amount in the official CMAT 2027 notification.

Payment will be accepted via: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, and UPI. No offline payment (cheque, demand draft, or cash) is accepted. After a successful payment, your application status will update to “Submitted” within a few minutes.

The application fee is non-refundable — even if you withdraw your application or do not appear for the exam.

CMAT Application Form Correction 2027

NTA provides a short correction window after the CMAT registration deadline closes. Based on the CMAT 2026 cycle, the correction window was open for 3 days (November 26–28, 2025). The CMAT 2027 correction window is expected in late November 2026 for a similar duration. Use this window to fix errors in your form — no changes are accepted after it closes.

What You Can Change

During the CMAT 2027 correction window, you will be able to edit:

• Personal details — name spelling, parents’ names, date of birth (minor corrections only)
• Category (e.g., from General to OBC-NCL or SC — if a change results in a higher fee, you must pay the difference)
• PwD status
• Preferred exam city selection (up to four cities)
• Photograph and signature uploads

What You Cannot Change

The following fields are permanently locked and cannot be edited even during the correction window:

• Registered mobile number
• Registered email address
• Residential address

How to Access the Correction Window

1. Visit exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT and log in using your Application Number and Password.
2. Click “Application Form Correction” on your dashboard — this option appears only during the active correction window.
3. Make the required edits and click “Submit”.
4. If a category change results in an additional fee, pay the difference online before submitting.
5. Download the revised confirmation page and keep it for your records — this replaces your original confirmation page.
