Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course is primarily focused on the UPSC Examination Patterns so that can be helpful to the students who were willing to get in the civil services. They would have provided us the weekly test on the same pattern of UPSC. So that would have been beneficial for us Timing of exam and classes are perfectly balanced. So that every student can be comfortable with that

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee was almost 21000 And the hostel fee was 24000 Mess fee was 90000 That's the complete money spent by me in my university during my graduation. I hadn't taken any scholarship by the university and not awarded with any stipend.

Campus Life

4.5

During my course only festival that I witnessed there was ramzan and nothin else. Ofcourse there was holiday for most of the government holidays but that festivals are not celebrated there. Facilities and technology provided there was good. There was no clubs or social groups in my knowledge.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Inside the room there was 3 beds available each for a student. Three fans were also there. There was three almirah for the convenience of the students. Hostel was provided on the basis of merit decided on the basis of 12th board marks and distance from the university.

Admission

Eligibility of the course is simple that you have to clear 12th board exam with minimum 54% marks. Application form was available online and application fee was 1000. No reservations for Hindu. Only improvement I think is that exam should be conducted in all over India and Reservation should be provided to Hindus also.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty To Student Ratio is Almost 1:8. There are lot of teachers and all of them are very talented and helpful. They are always eager to provide us top knowledge. Their behaviour is very friendly towards every student without any partiality. Teacher to student ratio is also very good making study very comfortable at the university campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
