I got a letter from IIT Kharagpur that I need to go there for counselling process. I went there with my parents and other friends who had also qualified in IIT JEE. I was given an option form where list of IITs and its courses were there. I filled that form based on my priorities. I opted only for IIT BHU as I knew that it was economical to study there. Although there were provisions of taking educational loans in IIT Kharagpur but I did not want to give my parents more financial load as they had financial problems. My other friends took admission in IIT Kharagpur and IIT Kanpur, I too wanted to take admission there as my IIT JEE rank was good enough, but opted for IIT BHU due to financial constraints.
It's very good, but at that time less focus was there on research.Electrical department so many machines that rarely any institutions could have. Teachers were very qualified, most of them had studied out of India, some of them were writers of many books. They were all very qualified and good. Classrooms were very big, I could say that it was overall the best experience anyone could have.

The gender ratio in the campus is very even. There is no discrimination regarding gender, religion, caste. There are various extracurricular activities held in college constantly. Constantly their will be flashmobs which surprise us. Sporting amenities are great in college and almost all sports are supported. Many cultural events are held constantly.
The fee structure is not as much to burden people. Comparatively it's a bit high as compared to most of the colleges but there is value for the given money. I paid about 40000 rupees including all the fees. 18000 is the government fees and the remaining is the development fees taken by college. Their is also a tablet given in this amount.

Global village fest was as far as i remember the first event i witnessed at a regular college day many people from different countries came to our college for knowing about it.Recently we have witnessed Diwali event in which many stalls and games were there for enjoyment. The course curriculum was well designed for three semester in M.Sc. level to teach basics with strong foundation and grip on subject. Further the subject will be taught to learn the all in detail in each topic. The curriculum will help a student to be well knowledged in all areas of subject, which would be useful in dealing with the better execution of research work assigned to him. When I first entered Sharda University I was anxious about my future. Over the two years so many doors were opened for our personal and academic development that I became confident. The university aims at enhancing our knowledge, skills and abilities. It, in fact, didn’t leave the attitude part behind as well. These years at Sharda University are the best years concerning learning, experience and gaining exposure to fields relevant to my discipline, all due to my faculty members. They were best all I can say.

The Sports complex has three Badminton courts and four table tennis tables. Resources for other indoor games like carroms, chess are also available. There are two basketball courts and two volleyball courts adjacent to the football & cricket ground. The cultural events can be broadly classified into competitions, festivals, workshops and celebrity shows. The committee aims to bring out talent in the student community in all the possible forms whether its music, dance, theatre, literary skills, sketching or other fine artstyles. In order to showcase these talents various competitions like 'Sangeet Sandhya', 'Dance Nite', 'Drama Nite', 'Rangoli' are calendared through out the year. The committee organizes various festivals like Janmashtami, Dussera, Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, Id, Christmas along with few regional festivals like Ugadi and Lohri. This helps to sensitize all towards the wide spectrum of beliefs which have harmoniously coexisted in India and spreading the message of peace and brotherhood which have transpired since ages through these festivals.
First, my experience in college has given me a chance to sharpen my skills in my field of choice. There have been, and there will continue to be, many opportunities to learn more ways of improving my craft as a result of my time in school, which I am truly thankful for. For example, the Writing Center at my school has taught me many writing tips and rules that I was unaware even existed, and would still be unaware of had it not been a part of my experience. Because of this, I realized I still had a lot to learn despite what I thought; but this allows me to improve my skills more as I continue to attend school and also gives me more confidence in my area. And as a result, I know one day this valuable experience will help me in my search for another one-a rewarding career.

Course is quite good but need to be more practical than theoretical. Lack of industrial exposure faculty is awesome ,Need to include more software training by professional person course involves some subjects like artificial intelligence which personally i fill needs to be omitted instead course should be divided in 2 parts .First one should be Design oriented in which designing concept & software training must be include and 2 nd should be Analysis oriented.
Faculty is awesome they are performing best with available resources experience wise quite mature & heavy experience faculty is available. Almost all faculty is Ph.D with different areas which helps student in their projects some of faculty having experience of working in industry & even in ISRO which is really good thing for students quite unhappy with T&P for M.Tech students for B.Tech students T& P is best in the city.

Yes, companies also come for Internship. Even if student want they can search for their own internship as well. Like I have searched my own internship in Bharti Airtel. Apart from that they have a separate Placement cell, who work for all students on searching their Internship & final placement. Stipend, depends - some companies give & some not but more imp is to get in good company & get knowledge.
Faculties are very nice! They hire outside faculties who are from IIMs, IITs on day basis (they are not permanent but taking classes on particular subject). Some faculties are ok and some are awesome. You cannot say everyone is perfect and it also depends on person to person and their understanding, interest of the subject.
After few more years good number of IT companies visited the campus and made good selections. Many students are working in various IT companies all over India and abroad while the core sectors of engineering did not find good campus options. Core sector companies are coming with limited seats and fewer selections.
The Fee structure was state regulated with paid and unpaid seats. The Management quota seats were a bit expensive. The per annum Fees for 2005 batch was approx 19000/- for unpaid/merit 38000/- for paid and much higher for management quota.

Faculties are mix of young engineers or well versed and read professors. Many of the professors are from Aligarh Muslim University which itself is a very prestigious university. Its a great place to study and the lecturers and professors are very good. We should respect all our teachers and that is the same in this university.

The campus location away from the city makes it so and student population of almost 2000 from 3 colleges on a hill top makes an outsider even more interested. Students coming from all over the country from best of the institutes of undergrad courses makes it a very cosmopolitan and diverse pool of people across ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation etc. Gender ratio was skewed towards higher number of women in SIMC. Could say 60-40 situation. There were many activity clubs, so there was always something happening. The infrastructure is very good.
Curriculum is vast covering all major components of the media industry. 1st semester covers all 4 specialization subjects of Journalism, AV production, advertising & PR so that every student is aware of all basic concepts and a bigger picture understanding of the media industry. Post 2nd semester, individual specializations takes precedence. Focus is on conceptual aspects as well as case study learning, projects, assignments, internships, media festivals, industry interface etc.
