Alumni network in indian institute of technology kanpur is very strong and good. There are a large number of alumni meet being held round the year and alumnis used to come and hier from the instuitute. As a far as senior are concerned there are very friendly and helping in nature .There is no ragging in the campus and we get a lot of help from the seniors in every field.

There are a large of scholarships available in indian institute of technology kanpur . One get scholarship from many agencies like institute assistanship,vishveshwarya fellowship and many others almost every student can get a scholarship or even get a loan from any bank easily.

For a mechanical student doing M.E. from Thapar, placement scene is not so good. Only IT companies like IBM, TCS, Accenture recruited around 6 students from my batch. Apart from that, colleges like LPU recruited 1-2 student from my batch. I got placement in IBM, but I did not join as I am not good in programming.

GATE 2013, There are basically 30 seats for every M.E. course, 19 are for GATE students. These 19 students receive UGC scholarship, which is 12400/- per month now. I got 35 marks out of 100. Apart from GATE, rest of the seats are filled by written test.

No you can not expect placement from college. For my batch out of 120 probably 10 got college placement rest have to take care on own. No mass recruiting company came in college. After investing almost 8 lacs for college fee they don't even provide any placements.

You need to be prepared for the labs and exams that will be bit hectic. The lab attendance is mandatory for the internal marks. There are total of 8 semester for 4 yrs course and in each semester overall 5 subjects were there.

The Gender ratio was great which stood at 60:40. Fresher parties were great. There were regular workshops on various subjects. The events were centred around cultural and sports. Seminars were organised on Industry best practices.

Placement were good. Almost everyone got an opportunity to work with one or other company of his or her choice. Substantial number of corporates came for campus selection.The average salary offered was around 3 lacs per annum.

DCE is considered as a great college not because of its faculty but because of its students. Although some faculty members were world class but there is still a huge lagging behind in terms of quality professors.

Internship as we all know is the most important time to get a view of the practical work when you enter the industry. I did my internship in tatasteels and I was offered a ppo from the same.

There was as such no internship done by none of my class students. But, yes ofcourse, many of our classmates, were selected for Phd and they got stipend of Rs. 18000 per month as JRF and Rs. 20,000 per month as SRF after completing credit course.

Per semester, we have to give 4 times exams, 2 times, class tests, one mid semester exam and one time end semester exam. Ofcourse, exams leaves us very hectic, but good thing about the same is that, all the exams hardly take 1 week to complete.

Semister pattern. course comprise of 6 six semisters ,project work, viva.each semister will conduct for every six months. Occasional holidays for religious festivals. 2 months summer holidays in each course year.

College prefered institute offered internship not paid any stipend. We worked for 4 months on project as internship and submitted at college as project work.

IIT KGP has Kshitij ( Asia's largest technical fest) which is celebrated in the 3rd week of January. Moreover, Spring fest is the cultural fest which is celebrated in the first week of January. Other than these two important fest, various other fests at management level, Start-Ups are conducted. Large scale participation from the various other colleges are recorded.

I gave IIT JEE entrance examination. I scored 215 out of 490. Although, all the IIT Colleges provide a platform where students get lots of opportunities to explore them-self with the full of support from academics as well as from the surrounding, IIT KGP has the best infrastructure among all the IITs. Hence, i decided to opt for IIT Kharagpur.

In the last year their are some companies that are offering the good opportunity for us. Such as wipro, cognizant etc.according to my consideration the placement activity is fine not great one but in akola their are few college. Who get to manage the placement related activity and our college is one of them to offer us an placement campus.

All the faculty including our principal sir Dr.sabu, our hod sir sanjay jadhav are really cooperative they help up to solve our any problems whenever necessary. Also about the teaching staff most of the lecturers are not on the permanent one but although they are on the contract basis they have enough knowledge.

If you have to define NITs from their one benefit, it is the placement process. The placement here is quite good,which goes for all major NITs. The average package offered in all branches range fom 4lk to 4.5 lks per annum with Mechanical Engineering and Mining being the top paid branches. The campus has almost 100% placement record and alumni in all major companies. Sadly Biotech and Bio Medical are not quite well in the placement department.

JEE MAINS(124 out of 360), JEE ADVANCED, CGPET. Took Biotechnology as a course because i am interested in research work, which is quite abundant i this field. Also since this is "NIT" we are talking about, it has a reputation. So it was placed quite high in my priority list also Raipur being my hometown added to the fact that i opted for this college.

The fee structure is feasible. 1L p .a. and also scholarships available for poor and deserving students. There are fee reservations for the backward caste people and also learn and earn schemes in which students do odd jobs after college hours to earn extra money.

We have the college fest Jhankaar which celebrates events such as dance singing fashion show and all events related to art and literature. Also we have technical fest Digital Reneissance which hosts many digital events like hackathon.

The college considers CAT,XAT, CMAT, MAT scores for admission in Minimum criteria for amission in 60+ percentile in CAT, XAT and 70-75+ percentile in CMAT and MAT. However, the selection in based on equal wieghtage to 10th,12th and Graduation marks along with GD, PI and WAT. So, even though a student gets below the stated percentile but has perform ed well in academics and admission process, He will be short listed for the selection list in PGDM and MBA programme. I scored 76 percentile in CMAT.

The college has 100% placement.Being centrally located between Chennai and Bangalore which are both major industrial hubs, it has various companies coming for placement for various roles spread over all the specialization. Being a 62 year old institution, it has wide networks and alumni relations that helps in the placement and internship procedure.Presently,106 out of 186 students are placed from both MBA and PGDM with a highest package of 8.04 lakhs p.a and an average of 5.2 lakhs p.a

At that time 20 to 30 companies came. Near half of our batch placed all it companies well established MNC companies came for campus placements. I have attended nearly 15 interviews. It a nice experience to me to attend all those interviews.

I am not a member of alumni. Seniors also not supported us during the studies. We have managed entire period with our friends and professors. They really supported us. If teacher support is not there means no student will improve.

GGSIPU B.Tech Entrance ExamIts a 4 year degree program. My stream was ECE. The level of education is very high in the institute with a good and a focussed faculty which is always there to help you advance in your career. Timely completion of the syllabus and revision and problem solving classes is an additional advantage of studying in this college.

Placement oppurtunities are increasing every year in this college. Infosys, TCS, Genpact, HCl, CSC and many other companies come to the institue to hire the in house talent. There are also pool campus drives whose info is provided by the college. The minimum package offered by the above mentioned companies is 3.5 lpa.

Our college has a very good program and network with Alumni.Every we had one get together party with Alumni .So that we can interact with them and learn more about the professional life and also many alumni was on good position and they also visited with there company to hire some students.

I choose to go into mechanical branch. there are 3 more branches in my college like C.S, I.T, ELECTRONICS. I studied various aspects of Mechanical Machinery and Automobile design. Faculty was very good and they provides practical as well as theoretical understanding in a very good way.

There are offers from core sectors and softwares .Though due to present market scenario placement is not that good as it was before.However best job offers are in Civil & Mechanical dept

Course curriculum was good. It comprises of essential concepts of Electronics, Sensor Technology, Signal Processing, Control Theory, Embedded Systems, Power Electronics and many more.

No internship in college. The college does not offer any internship in the course. But they offer a lot of short term projects which are live projects from various companies. And these do not offer any stipend.

Its a bit on the expensive side. The overall fee is 25 lacs per annum but the course is worth it. The fees is taken in 2 installments and loans are easily available for upto 20 lacs.

Campus life is very awesome every batch consists of 750 approx students out of which 150 girls. Sports facilities are very awesome with 20 lakhs Badminton court,Hard Tennis Court ,Germany Imported Gym, Students activity centre.

I gave IIT JEE and AIEEE .I got AIR 5200 in IIT JEE & AIR 8676 in AIEEE. I am interested in Physics and opted for Mechanical Engineering even though I have chance to opt for other courses.

I taken the admission in school of information Technology. The curriculum was designed based on the latest industry needs. The college was Autonomous status.The college having a flexibility to change the syllabus as per industry needs.

UG students will get the nominal scholarships. But PG students who taken admission through GATE they will get 8000/- per month as a stipend. But these scholarships are not getting in a time frame.delay in getting in scholarships.

The selection process is the same as Delhi university. I got in through cut offs and there was an exam for English proficiency to determine what course in languages should be offered to the student. I opted for this college because of its curriculum which wasn't there in any universities I applied to.

We have lots of events in ambedkar. Our annual fest is audacity which has everything imaginable in it from restaurants setting up stalls and serving food to crooning bands and group dance performances from different colleges. We have spring fest and other minor events.
